What can I say, other than, the ecosystem of Islamic State support continues to evade moderation, adapt to pressure, and claim limited but increasingly significant successes on mainstream platforms as well as fringe and messaging applications. There is no one solution to this problem, and while the focus remains on a range of harms online, one periennel is, if there is a gap in a platform mechanism to the limit the group’s unofficial or official ecosystem, it will most definitely exploit it for its own ends. The “tail continues to wag the dog” in a number of ways, and through it moderation pitfalls prevail.

🇮🇷Iran’s IRGC Now Asking For Cryptocurrency-Based Transit Fees for Strait of Hormuz Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has begun implementing a structured payment and permitting system for merchant vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, according to a report by Bloomberg. Under the system, shipowners are required to submit transit applications through intermediaries linked to the IRGC. These applications include vessel details and national affiliations, after which they are reviewed by regional IRGC naval units. The review process is intended to screen for potential links to states considered hostile, including the United States and Israel. Once cleared, vessels are subject to a tiered pricing structure, with rates reportedly varying based on nationality and other commercial considerations. Payments are conducted in cryptocurrency or Chinese yuan, a move seen as an effort to bypass the U.S.-dominated financial system. Industry sources cited in the report indicate a baseline cost of approximately $1 per barrel for tankers, or around $2 million for very large crude carriers (VLCCs). Following payment, vessels are issued a single-use transit code. Ships are then required to proceed to a designated checkpoint between Qeshm and Larak, where the code is transmitted before receiving an Iranian security escort for passage into the Gulf of Oman. The report also indicates that certain countries have negotiated preferential terms, including fee exemptions and allocated transit slots. Professional Bodies and Business Associations lobbying the Minister of Higher Education and Training to intervene against the QCTO’s aggressive insistence on the 𝗘𝗜𝗦𝗔 (𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁) 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 are fundamentally misunderstanding the political architecture underneath this project. The Iranians need to hire strategists. They need to bring them onboard as consultants. As our fellow BRICS+ members, it pains me to see what is happening to them and how they're war plans are unfolding. A good strategist would've told them not to strike their neighbors. From the first time they started striking their neighbors I kept on saying this is a baaaad idea. And people kept saying, no, they're striking US army assets. And I said the assets did not fire at them, and they have no business crossing sovereignty lines. They should be defending themselves against Israel and the US, not starting unnecessary trouble. I have never been a soldier, but you don't have to be a soldier to be a good war strategist. You see David was not a soldier when he faced off with Goliath and did what people who've been soldiers all their lives lacked the strategy and courage to do. There's also something very powerful that Iran could've leveraged that would've garnered regional support and ended this war even before it began. But only a strategist would've identified it. If you can afford it, it is important to hire people with skills you don't possess. And it is important to know when you are out of your depth and somebody with the expertise presents themselves. Be like Saul and not like David's brothers. Because depending on whose opinion they went with, they would've either put an end to their Goliath problem or kept having a Goliath problem. As a businesswoman whose territory is expanding, may GOD always grant me the wisdom and humility to hire the right people. Now #Trump sent out the 15 points to the real team who can make decisions. The issue is, #Iran's real team won't even possibly accept those terms before the #IranWar, zero chance of accepting at this point. If Trump want to end the war, he may have to start with #Iran's terms.
