A relation too close for comfort, that's the model consistently used by a "close" ally. So in a nutshell, if you take all conflicts around the world out of the picture entirely let me respectfully suggest that the system around you may still be rigged internally because values/freedoms that once have been taken for granted have multiple redlines; some obvious some not so obvious. My thinking is simplistic; cut out all foreign meddling/influence and eliminate all lobbying organisations supporting any country or region so that a) matters of foreign policy (even including internal laws) are entirely based on merits and b) values/freedoms serve as the real redline that cannot be crossed. Now is this asking much?

It seems to me that when reading President Dwight Eisenhower's warned about the Military Industrial Complex in his famous speech he may have well been talking about America's "closest" ally; maybe even too close - at every level - for comfort. https://lnkd.in/gX4QbCZG

Prominent debates at CPAC highlight a generational rift within the Republican stance on Israel amid the Iran war. Younger conservatives increasingly question long-standing support for Israel, prompting discussions on military intervention and policy priorities. The coverage notes that while younger voices push for reevaluation, evangelical and older voters remain strongly aligned with pro-Israel positions, underscoring how this issue could shape party unity and electoral outcomes this cycle. Read the full analysis and perspectives from CPAC, including insights from notable commentators and attendees. https://lnkd.in/dyd7iqG4 https://lnkd.in/dyd7iqG4 https://lnkd.in/ditiG4ak

EU agreements include conditions about human rights. A petition asks the Commission to review the conditions met in the EU-Israel Association agreement. https://lnkd.in/efwPF7GW #law #eu #policy #democracy #leadership #career #economy #finance #humanrights #innovation #ethics #values #duediligence
To those praising Israel as a “democracy”: are you paying attention? A system that cages, tortures, and now seeks to execute Palestinians through military courts with a 95% conviction rate is not a democracy, it’s an execution regime And our tax dollars are funding it. ENOUGH.

When Propaganda Replaces Governance, Crisis Becomes Inevitable Propaganda can win elections. It cannot run nations. What we are witnessing today is the cost of leadership driven by slogans instead of strategy. The decision by Donald Trump to align blindly with the Zionist war escalation against Iran is not just a regional miscalculation — it is a global economic threat. The consequences are already visible: Oil prices are rising rapidly The Strait of Hormuz — one of the world’s most critical energy chokepoints — faces disruption The Bab el-Mandeb is at risk of closure due to Houthi escalation This is not a distant conflict. This is a direct assault on the global supply chain. And here’s the harsh reality: The United States cannot decisively “win” this war. But it also cannot easily withdraw without losing credibility. This is the trap of ideological wars — once entered, they drain economies, weaken institutions, and expose limits of power. The real victims? The global economy The American economy The credibility of the US as a superpower The illusion of invincibility of the world’s most advanced military Even more critically, this conflict threatens: The dominance of the petrodollar system The position of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency And in every global power vacuum, someone rises. That beneficiary is China. While the US gets entangled in prolonged conflict, China advances — economically, strategically, and diplomatically. The coming years may well see a decisive shift in global economic leadership. History is clear: Great powers don’t collapse overnight — they weaken through a series of strategic blunders. And it often begins with leaders who confuse propaganda with governance. We’ve seen similar patterns elsewhere too. In India, slogans like “Acche Din” created expectations of transformation. But governance requires institutional strength, economic discipline, social cohesion, and strategic clarity — not just narratives. When leadership prioritizes perception over performance, the cost is paid by: Democracy Economy Social fabric Global standing The lesson is simple but urgent: You cannot run a nation on narratives. You cannot sustain power on propaganda. And you cannot lead without competence, foresight, and responsibility. Because when leadership fails — it’s not just one country that suffers. The entire world pays the price.

Blog 38 established the EU Mediator Vacuum — Europe’s inability to function as an independent mediator because it has no enforcement mechanism that operates outside Washington’s architecture. Blog 39 examines the military dimension of the same structural problem: Washington fought a hierarchical war against a distributed adversary, and the instruments did not match the target. The IRGC Mosaic Reckoning is the explanation for why killing Iran’s supreme leader, its top generals, and most of its senior command did not end the war — and why the ceasefire violations, the continued strikes, and the Islamabad talks’ collapse were architectural consequences, not acts of defiance.

We are setting horrible precedents with consequences by not protecting our journalists and medical personnel. Why are our leaders not demanding more of criminal regimes. Sanctions, calling out and any tools available to us should be used now- or we are complicit.

When your colleagues in healthcare are systematically being mass-murdered, silencing Protest is Not an Option NHS England NHS Leadership Academy 💙 NHS NHS Digital Academy #Petition: Instruct NHS England to revoke adoption of the IHRA definition of antisemitism (which Sees any criticism of the State of Israel as antisemitism..even when that State conducts a GENOCIDE against the semitic native Palestinian people there) Free speech, equality, and open debate matter in healthcare. In October, the UK government asked NHS England to adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism without public consultation. This decision has raised serious concerns and could conflate legitimate criticism of Israel or Zionism with antisemitism, leading to suppression of speech. Many fear this continues a chilling effect on open discussion, particularly in academic, medical, and policy settings where robust debate is essential. NHS England has a duty to uphold equality and freedom of expression, including rights protected under Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights and the Human Rights Act 1998. This petition calls on the government to: • Instruct NHS England to revoke the adoption of the IHRA definition and reaffirm its anti-racism stance. If you believe #healthcare policy should be shaped through open dialogue, legal clarity, and consultation, please consider supporting the petition: https://lnkd.in/ePrPWCCQ #FreeSpeech #HumanRights #law #innovation #HealthcarePolicy #NHS #MedicalEthics #Equality #OpenDebate
