On the 5th of March, I had the opportunity to spend time with the outstanding team at Pivotal Business Partners in Des Moines, discussing how we can continue strengthening Iowa’s small business ecosystem. At the U.S. Small Business Administration, our mission is simple: help entrepreneurs start, grow, and succeed. That happens through access to capital, strong resource partners, and the removal of barriers that prevent businesses from reaching their full potential. During the discussion, we covered: • SBA lending programs and access to capital • How partners like SCORE, Small Business Development Centers, and Women’s Business Centers support entrepreneurs • Current trends we’re seeing across Iowa’s small business community • Tools like the SBA Red Tape Hotline that help identify and remove regulatory barriers Strong partnerships are how we move the mission forward.
