The SBA Cleveland District Office was proud to conduct the 2nd of 8 Ohio Rural Business Initiative events last week at Northwest State Community College in Archbold! It was a productive session dedicated to bringing vital resources and capital access to our rural small business community. A huge thank you to Lisa Becher and the Small Business Development Center for being such incredible hosts. Highlights from the Event: ▪️ SBA Insights: Deputy District Director Clark Bihag, Lead Lender Relations Specialist Raymond Graves, and Regional Advocate Andrew Coffield shared how SBA programs and services help businesses reach the next level. ▪️ USDA Partnership: Justin Dueitt from the US Department of Agriculture presented on specialized programs available for small rural businesses. ▪️ Lending Panel: Raymond Graves moderated a dynamic discussion with five local lenders covering the "5 C's of Credit" and navigating the lending landscape. It was a pleasure for our SBA Cleveland District Office team to visit NZ Manufacturing Inc. in Tallmadge, OH, last week! District Director Terry A. Bolden and Lead Lender Relations Specialist Raymond Graves had the opportunity to tour their facility and see firsthand how this small but mighty team is making a global impact. NZ Manufacturing is a fantastic example of how SBA resources can support growth at every stage. With the help of US Bank, they’ve utilized SBA lending to fuel their operations and recent refinancing. During our visit, we were also excited to connect them with: ✅ The Global Business Center at Cleveland State University (Home of Ohio SBDC EAN) their international sales to countries around the world. ✅ The local Ohio APEX Accelerator at Ohio University specialist to help navigate new opportunities in government contracting. This is great news for American small businesses! The House of Representatives recently passed a package of bipartisan legislation aimed at strengthening small businesses, manufacturing, and rural communities.
