In Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), the Russell family (Mark, Emma, and their daughter Madison) is in mourning over the death of a boy named Andrew. They seem to have known him extremely well. Was Madison close friends with Andrew and her parents enjoying having him around?

Andrew was Madison's brother, killed at the time of the 2014 Godzilla movie.
Monarch scientists Dr. Ishirō Serizawa and Vivienne Graham approach former employee Dr. Mark Russell, Emma's ex-husband and Madison's father, to help track them down. Mark is initially reluctant due to his hatred toward Godzilla, whom he blames for his son Andrew's death in San Francisco, but eventually agrees.

In 2014, San Francisco became the battleground between Godzilla and a breeding pair of MUTOs, two prehistoric superspecies that were rivaled with each other. Andrew was found dead after being crushed by debris in the ensuing battle, though the rest of his family managed to survive.
