The 1 VIII was also reheat leftovers at a ludicrous price, despite 3.5 and memory slot. The chinese competitors use Sony's top sensors, while Sony's own "flagship" uses some really old stuff...seems like suicide

Since moving to quad A78 + quad A55, numbers got worse.
This phone should have had 6g4( aka binned 7sg3) .
Or turn it into something like Moto Edge 70 series.
70 fusion is much better than this, except audio and having screen hole

Being a happy Motorola Edge 50 Neo owner, I am surprised that Moto's current compact midranger (Edge 60 Neo) is not on the list of alternative options. Maybe it is because folks at GSM Arena never got to test it...

An absolute joke. Even the Snoyboys will be hard-pressed to defend this (but they'll try anyway! 😂). Same processor. Same cameras. Same bezels from 2017. And before you reply "muh front-facing speakers!" Even the Xperia 5IV from four years ago had slimmer bezels than this. They couldn't shave them down at all? Of course they could. They just cba and keep using a low-grade OLED panel.
