Anonymous, 02 Jul 2026Time to stop buying consoles by 2028 too!boycott all new consoles that come without a disc. they don't ask users just for profit, but it will cost them dearly
AnonymousCRL, 02 Jul 2026PC Games piracy is back on track now in 2026 though, with Hypervisor bypass and Voices38 cracks. piracy never left 🏴☠️
Imagine if we have a chance to liberate their HQs in California and Tokyo by force, there wont be any upcoming quarters given from them.
And I would've been fine if they were like Steam but they aren't.
-they get hacked constantly
-if they ban your account you lose the entire library. And there have been cases where they ban your account for whatever reason
-non existent support to help you if you lose the account
Anchor, 02 Jul 2026Man, everything is becoming worser day by day.Hate to agree with you about this topic, but it certainly is.
Literally everything is anti-consumer these days. Over-population, pollution, and national conflicts aside, its as though tech+game companies have gotten so greedy manipulating us for profit they no longer see us as living human beings anymore. It's all about pleasing the investors. AI this and AI that when the technology is half-baked at best, oh yeah bright future ahead for sure.

slowly but surely their next plan is subscriber / stream only

Govts, banks and corpos have infiltrated crypto. The US thinks it is still the owner of the WWW that we got from DARPA and they can block any means necessary if the people keep bending the knee.
get ready to pay for everything, and own nothing.........yep and that is f..king problem right there ❗❕👎

Enter the resistance (which is done via the use of high tech , not in an attemp to overthrow anything, merely in an attempt to keep using the trulky open web and/or services as they once were).
It is the official avenues that are closing up, the unofficial ones open up. Blockchain based second hand market start to pop up everywhere, the the once dark web is now becoming the secondary web and grows into legitimate use case where people can release things outside the heavily controlled mediums, etc.
This coming generation or the next will counteract the top down governance of today, heck it is already happening if you know what tor , block chain, torrent, privately operated dns and more can trully do is they are properly usitilized not for anything illicit, but rather an increasingly parallel society which has the rules of what the web could have had if not captured by a few entities.
Eventually we win out because the majority will join our side of history and let their side, the dust to take them...
Anonymous, 02 Jul 2026Having a digital game copy is better for me. I don't want scratched and dirty discs. What are you on about?? You don't own the game anymore. It will be always dependable on psn, and your account status.
If you lose your account you lose everything you bought.
What killed piracy on PC is not digital distribution per se, it's Steam's decision to do variable pricing between regions, resulting games costing very reasonable in emerging markets. This disincentivise people to pirate as buying the real thing becomes very affordable.
