You Forgot the Fact that I could create a backup disc. Something that you couldn't do on a Digital Media. All I have to do is copy the contents. And Burn it into another disc. Since the key is REUSABLE.

Why would that be any different? Because I could play the games that I wanted WITHOUT a CONSTANT Internet Connection since most of the time I will be playing SINGLE PLAYER GAMES. I already got a PC. And there's already a Jailbreak on PS5.

Meaning, It doesn't maintain the lowest value despite being a 4 year old game! Based on the New Reports. Retailers would go to digital voucher codes and subscription cards. They won't even have any access to Sony's Digital Game Store and sell playstation games at a cheaper price!

Just think of branded journalism (which is becoming a global plague), the lobbying/advocacy that companies such as Sony constantly use to reinforce their public image, and gamification plus vertical acquisitions to concentrate control over multiple stages of the value chain (production, distribution, communication).
To all this we can add stock‑market acquisitions of these specific entities, which further consolidate this control.

I didn't bring up the discounts, he did. Don't put words into my mouth and stop running with the assumption that I'm pro digital media. The real issue here is the loss of first-sale doctrine. There's no alternative for it on PC. Not even GOG addresses it. If you can't sell it, you don't own it.

Shareholders aren't interested in hardware and software, much less video games.
Shareholders don't spend money on video games and consoles (which aren't even consoles anymore).
Consumers do.

You're ignoring the context. He said he can get back access to his lost/broken physical media through piracy. He can do the same in case he loses access to his digital games. There are no more roadblocks in this case than the former. Your past library whether it's physical/digital/mixed or non-existant is irrelevant when it comes to piracy. It does not impact your ability to pirate. The procedure of piracy remains the same in either case.

So, the question is legitimate and natural, regardless of the "various discounts" (a GOD: Ragnarok, to be precise, cost around $70 at launch on November 9, 2022 [for those who forgot], for the PS4/PS5 "launcher" edition, which "magically" became around $80 for the "deluxe" version).
What's the point of buying the next PS6?
A Steam Machine at the same price almost seems more tempting.
At least you still have the choice, offline mode (playing locally), and the ability to transfer progress and keep executables and assets (locally, with any physical storage device, including Blu-ray discs).
And unlike Sony, a Steam store (for example, among others) offers millions and millions of titles for all price ranges and budgets.
Furthermore, you're not tied to lifetime subscriptions; they're yours. They're yours for as long as you live in this (disgusting, human) world.
Something Sony doesn't seem to care about right now.
So, I ask myself again: what's the point of buying $1,000 (or more) Sony hardware in 2028 (?), being forced into yet another subscription (the cost of which will increase), knowing you're bound by its rules?
And that with a simple ban, it would instantly become a cute living room ornament? (Like Nintendo already does?)
Better, then, to move directly to streaming, with dummy hardware and a subscription. (As long as the current, crumbling, ineffective, and inefficient internet infrastructure allows it.)
Rather than read and hear all this nonsense passed off as "progress."

While a Physical Copy which you can get at best buy cost $29.99 if it still available in the Store. That $50 difference is a Deal Breaker. If I already Paid the game once at $79.99. Why should I pay the same amount on a 4 year old game if there is no benefit?
