Rachel Copley-Kornman reposted thisRachel Copley-Kornman reposted thisEver notice how your thinking changes when the room changes? High ceilings and open space invite big, bold ideas. Cluttered corner, stuff everywhere? That space is built for email, not vision. Psychologists call it the Cathedral Effect. Your space shapes your ideas. So before I start work, I ask one question: What kind of thinking do I need to do today? If I need inspiration, I create room to breathe. Clear the table. Open a window. Look at the sky for 30 seconds. It matters. Today, try working on one problem in three different places. Notice what changes. Then build more of that space into your week. 💫

Rachel Copley-Kornman shared thisI’m excited to share that I’ve been promoted to Senior Director of Learning & Development at Vistage Worldwide, Inc.! Returning from maternity leave to this recognition was an unexpected and deeply appreciated surprise. I’m so proud of my L&D team — while I was out welcoming baby Grace, they continued to deliver exceptional work, support our Chairs and Faculty, and move major initiatives forward with heart and excellence. I feel lucky every day to work with such talented humans. Thank you to Sam, Brian, and our leadership team for the trust and support. I’m energized for what’s ahead and excited to keep building, innovating, and amplifying impact across our community. Grateful for this next chapter! Enjoy some photos of the newest member of the L&D team, baby Grace 😊

Rachel Copley-Kornman reacted on thisRachel Copley-Kornman reacted on thisAfter 22 years as a Vistage speaker, and winning Speaker of the Year four times, the Member’s Choice Award twice, the Millennium Award, the Above and Beyond, Lifetime Achievement, and Speaker of the Year for TEC Canada, I am honored to be the recipient of the Vistage Top Performer award, for the fifth year in a row. Working with people to be more excellent is my favorite thing to do, and it's truly an honor to be recognized!

Rachel Copley-Kornman reacted on thisRachel Copley-Kornman reacted on thisLast week, I learned that I received a Vistage Top Performer Award for 2025. During that year, I delivered more than 100 group presentations. My heartfelt congratulations go out to the other speakers who also earned this distinction. Vistage Worldwide, Inc. and TEC Canada group meetings are essential to the growth of Peernovation, LLC's practice. I am constantly learning new ways to help members leverage their collective intellectual and emotional capital and, by doing so, I show these leaders how to take what the highest-performing forums do so brilliantly to their teams. I love what I do today more than anything I have ever done in my career! It's both humbling and rewarding. Thank you.

Rachel Copley-Kornman reacted on thisRachel Copley-Kornman reacted on thisAfter 11 years in one organisation, the time has come for me to close this chapter. Saying goodbye to Vistage is emotional - but deep down, I know it’s the right time. I joined Vistage as a young temp covering maternity leave… and I leave now married with my own family, and about to welcome another little one into the world this July. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being just a job and became a defining part of who I am. When I look back at the person who first joined, and the person leaving, they’re very different. I’ve grown more capable, more confident, and far more resilient than I ever imagined. I’ve learnt so much - about business, leadership, people, and myself. But what has made the journey so special is the people… To the many colleagues I’ve had the privilege of working alongside - thank you. The support, collaboration and friendships mean more than I can put into words. There are a few people I’d love to personally thank… Steve Gilroy - thank you for hiring me and giving me that very first opportunity as your PA. Joanne Kerr - an incredible manager in my early years and a valued colleague ever since. Lorna Barker - thank you for challenging me and helping me grow within the wider business. Karen Porter - an amazing mentor, support and inspiration, both professionally and personally - a friend for life! Helen Sandman - truly inspiring, you’ve taught me so much about great leadership. Karen Butcher, Lisa Bartholomew & Becky Kennedy - thank you for the support, energy and friendship over the years (and all the moments that made work feel like home). Emma Theobald - another remarkable woman who has inspired me more than you know. It’s been such a pleasure getting to know you more over the past year. Gordon Hall & Mark Bond - thank you for allowing me to be part of your Vistage group. It’s played such an important part in my development and growth these last two years. And thank you Harrison Warr for sharing that experience with me. And to so many others - there are simply too many of you to name after more than a decade. But please know you’ve played a huge part in my life and in shaping who I am today. Finally, to the wider Vistage community - the incredible Chairs, speakers and members - thank you for your encouragement, wisdom and belief. It’s a very special community to have been part of. For now, my focus will be on enjoying the final months of my pregnancy and preparing to welcome our new arrival. At the same time, stepping into the unknown professionally feels a little daunting. But if the past 11 years have taught me anything, it’s this: If you truly believe in something, visualise it clearly, and put the hard work in - anything is possible. Here’s to a new chapter.

Rachel Copley-Kornman reacted on thisRachel Copley-Kornman reacted on thisFive years ago, I stepped into something completely new. After many years in professional services operations, and later building businesses in real estate and construction, I started a new chapter as a Vistage Chair. Although I’ve held senior leadership roles and worked with many leaders…at the time, building and facilitating peer advisory groups of CEOs was completely unfamiliar territory. And if I’m honest…it was one of the most challenging professional transitions I’ve ever made. This week I received my 5-Year Vistage Chair Award, and it made me pause and reflect on the people who made this journey possible. I certainly didn’t do it alone. I’m deeply grateful for the constant support of my husband, Kevin Belew. For my Chair “bestie” from our very first day of Vistage Academy, Michele Breslin. For the incredible community of female Chairs who meet monthly and have encouraged and challenged me along the way. For my regional Chair group who continue to share ideas, wisdom, and perspective. And most of all, for the extraordinary Vistage members in my groups. These leaders show up every month ready to be open, honest, and committed to becoming better leaders and building stronger businesses. Their willingness to challenge each other — and me — is what makes this work so meaningful. Being a Chair isn’t just about facilitating meetings. It’s about creating a space where leaders can think more clearly, lead more courageously, and grow. I’m incredibly grateful for the journey so far. And thank you to our Best Practice Chair Frank Day for presenting this meaningful award. Five years in… and still learning every day. #Vistage #leadershipjourney #grateful

Completion data was never meant to answer workforce questions. I spoke to Carol Warner at HRMorning about how LMS strategy is shifting from compliance to workforce infrastructure, and why using training completion as a proxy for capability creates risk for HR, finance, and leadership. When learning data can’t support planning, retention, or skills decisions, organizations fall back on spreadsheets and opinion. That’s when learning exits the strategy conversation. The article looks at why skills visibility matters, how governance changes as AI enters learning, and what HR now needs from LMS ownership. Read the full piece here: https://lnkd.in/d27N-m5F
