Given the resurgence of video and talking head video in learning, and in my opinion way too many narrated eLearning experiences.... I thought this post by Christy Tucker was worth resurfacing! But none of that happens by accident. Visual mockups like the one below are where everything begins to come alive. Before a single interaction is coded, this process helps me: Clarify the learner journey Ensure emotional consistency through character expressions Map out branching scenarios that actually feel human In this project, every choice leads Jim closer—or farther—from a peaceful resolution. Not only did OPM come out with new SES guidance today, they also came out with guidance about non-SES roles. Resumes for these positions will also be limited to 2 pages AND require 4 short essays (no more than 200 words each) on: 1.  How has your commitment to the Constitution and the founding principles of the United States inspired you to pursue this role within the Federal government? Provide a concrete example from professional, academic, or personal experience. 2. In this role, how would you use your skills and experience to improve government efficiency and effectiveness? Provide specific examples where you improved processes, reduced costs, or improved outcomes. 3. How would you help advance the President’s Executive Orders and policy priorities in this role? Identify one or two relevant Executive Orders or policy initiatives that are significant to you, and explain how you would help implement them if hired. 4. How has a strong work ethic contributed to your professional, academic or personal achievements? Provide one or two specific examples, and explain how those qualities would enable you to serve effectively in this position. Applicants must certify that they did not use a consultant or AI to prepare the essays. There is much more in this 30 page issuance, including the use of standardized (across government) position descriptions, USA Hire assessments, talent pools, etc. As I work my way through this and the SES guidance, I will be sharing more information.
