A deadline is getting closer for higher education institutions. By April 2026, public colleges and universities need their digital content to meet accessibility standards under WCAG. On paper it sounds manageable. In practice it touches years of content across: • Course materials, PDFs, and slide decks • Lecture videos and captions • LMS content and assignments • Department websites and student portals Many institutions already know about the requirement. The challenge now is scale. Thousands of courses. Decades of content. A short runway to get it compliant.
