Jesse S. Hsu 徐顯光 shared thisSadness aside, what can leadership learners observe from this happening? How did they get away with looting from others' sweat efforts and walk away with stolen merchandise unpunished? Corporate raiders can reach in and take away from the treasure chest of the trusted boardroom. The loss inflicted was not only on the entrepreneurs but also on the leading tech edge this country could otherwise have. Let's see how this will unveil and pass legal scrutiny.Jesse S. Hsu 徐顯光 shared thisI am sharing the letter I sent to the TuSimple team this morning in response to the questionable actions taken by the Board Hi all, When I started TuSimple in a 700 SQFT office in 2015, I started with the ambition to grow TuSimple into a company that will fundamentally transform the freight industry through autonomous driving. You joined TuSimple because you also believe in that dream. We have worked so hard to bring it to life, and I couldn’t be prouder of you. My motivation has always been and continues to be chasing that visionary dream. The painful truth is that on Oct. 30, the Board voted to remove me as CEO and Chairman of the Board without Cause. Unfortunately, the Board’s processes and conclusions have been questionable at best. As the facts come to light, I am confident that my decisions as CEO and Chairman, and our vision for TuSimple, will be vindicated. I have been completely transparent in both my professional and personal life and I fully cooperated with the Board because I have nothing to hide. I want to be clear that I fundamentally deny any suggestions of wrongdoing. I know my leadership style may sometimes be demanding, but that’s because autonomous driving itself is a demanding mission that requires our undeterred commitment. Your dedication humbles me. Unfortunately, the work we have done together and the sacrifices we have made along the way are sometimes under-recognized by those who do not understand the complexity of autonomous driving. It is so unfair to let politics get in the way of the dream we were pursuing together. Some people want you to be content with TuSimple simply being a technology provider. I encourage you to dream bigger. This field has the potential to change society in a fundamental way, and there is simply no room for mediocrity. We must grow into a business that changes a generation. The alternative is not an option. That is why I have so much confidence in our long-term value and have not sold a single share of my ownership in the company, and I do not intend to do so for as long as I can support my family. Talking about family, TuSimple is my baby. Like every parent, the love I give to TuSimple is unlimited and unconditional. I am always willing to help the company succeed at whatever personal cost, including my health and time spent with my real family. I can say with a clear conscience I have always acted and will act with integrity and in the best interests of TuSimple. I have full confidence in the current leadership team. More importantly, as a TuSimple employee, your faith will support you during this challenging time. Regardless of the role I hold either as a co-founder, CTO, President, B-shareholder, CEO, Chairman, or now a Board director, I am still that XD in the yellow shoes. As you already know, I am always here to support the company. That will never change. Cheers XD

I miss those global traveling and collaboration days in China and Asia PAC. Wish you continue to shine brightly and enlighten those in need! #collaboration#china #ReinventingSelfJesse S. Hsu 徐顯光 shared thisI had a great 3 days in Connecticut and NYC shooting videos for a digital collaboration with James Porter of Stress Stop. We worked on a 30-day digital program on behavior change and I was able to record a program in both English and Spanish. I also recorded videos for a digital course for my book, The Business of You. We squeezed in videos on Inclusion and Belonging, Stress in the Latinx community, and on Self-Care. I admit to not getting nearly enough sleep (even though we both teach about how important it is) but being able to sneak in 2 Broadway shows in the 3 nights I was there was worth it! I look forward to continuing to expand my business offerings and to partner with brilliant people with capabilities that complement mine. Stay tuned!

I want to take this opportunity to thank all women at Lenovo for the impact they make every day in driving innovation, operational excellence, and growth across our global business. This is a time to reflect on the importance of an inclusive workforce, one that is representative of the customers, partners, and communities we serve. This year’s theme, Give to Gain, invites us to consider the power of connection, collaboration, and shared support. It encourages us to appreciate the people who have shaped our careers, the insight and encouragement we have gained along the way, and how we can give back to support the next generation of leaders and the communities around us. At Lenovo, our commitment to inclusion remains a core part of our culture and business strategy. Today, women at Lenovo are enhancing our Smarter AI for All vision to manage gender bias in our AI. Even more, we have 27 global, employee-led women’s groups that make our workplace an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. In 2025, Lenovo was recognized by Forbes as one of the World’s Best Employers and a Top Company for Women. This recognition reflects the inclusive environment we foster for every employee across 180 markets, supported by programs that build community, encourage belonging, and enable professional development. None of our progress and achievements would be possible without the leadership, creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit of all women throughout Lenovo. #IWD2026

How can Design thinking help environmental NGOs? It provides a human-centered, collaborative and iterative framework for develop creative, practical and emotional acceptable solutions to complex environmental challenges. It enables to shift the focus from top-down mandates to a community-driven approach that addresses root causes and inspires lasting behavioral change. Thank you Fadly Bakhtiar and Nurul Nabila Shohimi for inviting me last week to EcoKnights and deliver a workshop to discover Design Thinking. With 9.11 (out of 10) Favorable Opinion, participants really appreciated the importance of empathy and prototyping.

We’ve just published the fourth article in our AI learning series. This one tackles a hard truth in experiential learning: 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. Two teams can go through the same simulation and walk away with completely different conclusions. All confident. All inconsistent. Without facilitation: •Learning fragments •Judgment becomes local •Capability drifts The article explores why facilitation is not about delivery or flow, but about developmental alignment. Turning individual insight into shared judgment. Turning simulated performance into real organizational capability. It also draws a clear line between what AI can genuinely support in simulation-based learning and where human facilitation remains essential. Here is the article https://bit.ly/4teZqAa If you work with L&D, simulations, or capability building at scale, I’d be very interested in your perspective.

Thrilled to share that the article I co-authored with Professor Aidan McKearney of Hult Ashridge Executive Education on the power of Psychological Capital (#PsyCap) has been published in the latest issue of HR magazine, one of the world’s most trusted platforms for #HR professionals and #leaders. PsyCap isn’t just about wellness — it’s a strategic advantage. Employees with higher PsyCap adapt faster, stay engaged longer, and lead with confidence even amid uncertainty. Research, including studies conducted at Meirc Training & Consulting, consistently shows that strengthening psychological resources fuels retention, leadership growth, and organizational resilience. Our message to HR leaders is clear: Make PsyCap core, not optional. Integrate it into your learning, leadership, and culture. By doing so, you don’t just support individuals — you future-proof your workforce. Curious to learn more? Please read the full feature on HR Magazine, page 16, and let’s connect to explore how PsyCap can transform your people strategy. https://lnkd.in/dDX6W37C #HR #Leadership #FutureOfWork #EmployeeEngagement #Meirc #Hult #HERO #PsyCap #PsychologicalCapital

Thrilled to share our new article in Organizational Dynamics, coauthored with Dana Minbaeva, Martin Edwards, and Alec Levenson, where we explore how Workforce Analytics (WFA)—done right—can become a strategic capability in multinational corporations (MNCs). Unlike traditional people analytics, WFA is not about dashboards or descriptive metrics. It’s about value creation through strategic roles (think “A positions”) across complex, culturally diverse environments. We introduce the ACAI Model—a practical and theory-grounded approach for transforming workforce data into decisions that matter: Ask: Begin with business questions—not with data Collect: Focus on relevant, high-quality, cross-border workforce data Analyze: Apply rigorous, causal methods—not just correlations Influence: Shape strategic decisions, not just reports Our central message: Workforce Analytics—when done strategically, ethically, and globally—can drive lasting competitive advantage. Free access to the article (limited time): https://lnkd.in/ePZJTyRY For deeper insights, see our newly published book: Workforce Analytics: A Global Perspective (Routledge, 2025) And don’t miss the full Organizational Dynamics special issue on Global Talent Management, edited by Paula Caligiuri, PhD: https://lnkd.in/er8w6dus

We often think the best idea always wins. In reality, the idea backed by innovation capital wins, not necessarily the most brilliant one. Innovation capital is the credibility, trust, relationships, and track record that allow an idea to move forward. It is built over time through delivery, judgment, and the ability to bring others along. When innovation capital is strong, people listen, resources follow, and uncertainty becomes manageable. When it is weak, even good ideas struggle to get airtime. This is why innovation is not just about creativity or intelligence. It is about influence, timing, and confidence earned through consistent action. Leaders who understand this do not push ideas in isolation. They invest in people, networks, and small wins long before they ask for support on something bold. If this resonates, the episode How the Best Leaders Develop and Spend Innovation Capital from the HBR Leadership series is worth a listen. It offers a practical and grounded take on how innovation actually happens inside organisations. https://lnkd.in/g5N6MVS8 #InnovationCapital #Leadership #OrganisationalChange #InnovationLeadership #HBRLeadership

The C.L.E.A.R. Influence Framework: A Personal and Practical Approach to Stakeholder Influencing. Effective stakeholder engagement is a crucial element for success in any organization, and I have spent years refining the principles of this practice through numerous training sessions for diverse clients. Having spent over eight years working in stakeholder management, including during my time at McKinsey & Company's East Africa Office as a business development advisor, I've had the privilege of applying and refining influencing strategies across diverse sectors, be it government agencies, development partners, or both private and public enterprises. This hands-on experience has taught me that effective outcomes are not just about well-designed plans or projects, but about proactively engaging and influencing stakeholders in a synergetic manner. Leading Adwa Partners, PLC most recent engagement with a team at HEINEKEN Ethiopia served as a powerful reminder of a foundational framework I have consistently used to drive successful outcomes. This framework, which I call C.L.E.A.R., has been the backbone of my training approach. The C.L.E.A.R. Influence Framework is my distillation of these practical insights, designed to be a simple, yet comprehensive and actionable guide for any leader in any sector, especially for young leaders navigating the complexities of the modern workplace. This approach has consistently earned admiration and respect from stakeholders I have worked with due to its professional, trustworthy, and reciprocal nature, and I've decided to share it here to provide a simple, actionable guide for your own initiatives. The C.L.E.A.R. Influence Framework provides a structured approach to engaging and influencing stakeholders by systematically moving from establishing trust to presenting a reasoned argument, backed by credibility, shared purpose, and reduced self-interest. The journey from stakeholder management to stakeholder influencing reflects a growing understanding of the human element in project and organizational success. While stakeholder management laid the groundwork for identifying and planning for key parties, and stakeholder engagement fostered collaborative relationships, stakeholder influencing represents the pinnacle of this evolution. It emphasizes the proactive and strategic shaping of perceptions and actions through the balanced application of the C.L.E.A.R. Influence Framework. In an era where outcomes are increasingly tied to the collective will and coordinated efforts of diverse stakeholders, the ability to master stakeholder influencing is not just an advantage but a critical imperative for modern leaders seeking to drive meaningful and sustainable results.
