Rachel Toh Tze Neng, Aquatic Safety Assistant at Adventure Cove Waterpark: Rachel diligently monitors both in-water and out-of-water areas, ensuring guests follow safety recommendations while enjoying the attractions. Trained to always be rescue-ready, she and her team are prepared to response swiftly to any emergency, providing peace of mind to visitors. Resorts World Sentosa has soared new heights in its sustainability journey by achieving the Singapore MICE Sustainability Certification (MSC) at the highest tier of Gold. The Singapore MSC was developed by the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS), with support from Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and in consultation with SACEOS members and industry players. The framework builds on the first MICE Sustainability Certification introduced in 2016 – which Resorts World Sentosa had been recognised under – and recently gained Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC)-Recognized Standard status. Underscoring this commitment to lead in sustainable hospitality, Resorts World Sentosa was first in the world to achieve the GSTC Destination Criteria and GSTC Industry Criteria for Hotels and the Events Industry Council Sustainable Events Standards Platinum certification for Venue. With unique MICE venue spaces across Resorts World Convention Centre (RWCC), hotels, and attractions, this recognition shows our commitment to providing sustainable MICE offerings, and our added efforts in greening our supply chain, engaging stakeholders, and activating more offerings. Last November, we hosted the GSTC2024 Global Sustainable Tourism Conference at Equarius Hotel, where 500 delegates from 55 countries savoured farm-to-table delicacies and delighted in green bleisure amenities.
