As AI moves fast, trust has to be built from day one. At NAB, we don’t just ask what AI can do. We’re deliberate about what it should do and how we use it responsibly. We know the customer experiences of tomorrow need to be trustworthy and transformative. That’s where colleagues like Poonam Nair come in, helping ensure the right guardrails are in place as our teams build and move forward.  By investing in our people’s skills and setting clear standards, our teams can move faster with confidence. Because the future of AI isn’t only about what we create, it’s about what customers can safely rely on. Ai-Linh Tran showed how diverse backgrounds can step into AI, Abigail R. showed how those strengths activate it and Poonam ensures it lasts. Next up, we’ll meet one of our strategists shaping what comes next.    https://lnkd.in/gT2gk7_r

A simple fraud check stopped an Australian home buyer from losing more than $100,000 to a sophisticated property impersonation scam.   During the settlement process, a large stamp duty payment triggered an alert. An experienced NAB fraud analyst reviewed the transaction, placed it on hold and contacted the customer to verify the details.   Property transactions are a common target for criminals because payments are large, time‑sensitive and expected. By following established fraud checks and encouraging independent verification, our team was able to stop the transfer before any money was lost.   NAB Executive Group Investigations Chris Sheehan says pressure is the biggest warning sign:   “If anything doesn’t feel right, pause and independently verify before making a decision. A quick call or second check can stop a significant financial loss.”   Read the full story and learn how to protect yourself: https://lnkd.in/gqeqrAEt

Fuel prices are prompting more Australians and business owners to consider electric vehicles.   New NAB insights show business enquiries for EV related lending are up 88% since the start of March, as operators look for greater cost certainty in an uncertain environment. Households are also reassessing EVs as ongoing fuel price volatility sharpens the focus on long term running costs.   Australian businesses are practical. When conditions change, they adapt. For many, EVs aren’t a silver bullet, but one option worth considering where it makes sense operationally and financially.   At NAB, our focus is on helping customers work through the numbers and the realities, so they can make informed decisions that support the resilience of their business over the long term.
