In almost every customer meeting I’ve done this year, customers have consistently asked about AI and its impact on the Australian economy. We thought it important to put pen to paper and write something that may go some way to answering their questions. Our note reveals that AI adoption is now visible in Australia’s economic data - it’s influencing investment, hiring and business operations. It also shows that AI-driven change is likely to be gradual and uneven, underscoring the importance of training and support to widen opportunities and manage impacts.
