There are many ways to use margin loans to enhance investment opportunities - they can help investors increase market exposure and unlock liquidity – but they also come with risks. If you're exploring financing options to grow your wealth, or want to use your current investment holdings to achieve business or other investment goals, here are three key approaches to consider: Increase market exposure through leverage 💵 Access liquidity for investment opportunities 🧾 Pre-pay interest for a potential tax benefit Learn more about how margin loans work, how they could fit into your overall wealth strategy and the key risks to consider: https://lnkd.in/gzER7aBy And to explore whether these approaches are suitable for your wealth strategy, reach out to your NAB Private Banker today. #Investing #WealthStrategy #MarginLending #MarginLoans #FinancialLiteracy #NABPrivateBank #RiskManagement

It’s a well-trodden path for many investors to panic and sell as they watch the value of their share portfolio plunge during market downturns. However history shows many of the best days in equity markets cluster right next to the worst days. In early 2025, the Australian market hit a record high, then fell approximately 14% within weeks - and like previous cycles (GFC, COVID), sharp rebounds followed. What the data says: 📈 Markets tend to price recoveries ahead of the economy 🤜 Loss aversion may nudge investors to respond at the wrong time ⏲️ Take into consideration CGT and transaction costs when trying to time equity exposure. Instead of trying to avoid volatility, look at developing a framework to manage it within your portfolio. NAB Private Wealth offers a range of investment strategies that can be utilised to manage your overall equity exposure. If you're looking to put a strategy in place or if it's time to review your current investment strategy, reach out to your NAB Private Banker today.
