Honestly I'm quite happy with the idea of this replacing my ZF10. Cameras are probably "bad" compared to others but the results look good enough given I'll use a mirrorless for anything serious, battery maybe isn't class leading but it's still really good even without LTPO, sustained performance seems to be genuinely higher than others, I don't have to look at a hole punch for a front camera I don't use and it still has a 3.5mm port and IR blaster while being on the cheaper side for this tier of device.
Only thing potentially to knock it for is support but where I live it's 5 years, that's perfectly fine.
uh, what is the point of liquid cooling with active fan when its not better (even worse) than other phone without it?
battery life? not better..
gaming runtime? not better..
charging speed? not better..
then what is this phone better at compared to Oneplus 15, oppo find x9, xiaomi 17pro max, realme gt 7, etc?
meanwhile samsung next year:
"introducing!! s26 ultra with a humongous 5000 mah battery"
Bastianp, 18 Nov 2025I don't understand what nubia wants to produce, i see some people on youtube poll who are... moreFirst and foremost this is a "Gaming" focused & not a camera phone w/c for me is good enough.
When your "Gaming" who cares about LTPO since you won't always be idling & staring on the screen & since both are AMOLED, not much difference in terms of color accuracy, even your 15T Pro isn't using LTPO.
Yeah!! Snapdragon >>>>>>>>>>>>>> MediaCRAP Always & Forever!!!! I can even unlock bootloader & have multiple custom roms with Snapdragon unliked "Closedsource" mediacrap 0 custom rom support equals to toilet paper when oem support ends.
Watercooling does it's job to prevent battery from overheating specially when using wireless charging! While the Built-In Blower Fan keeps the soc cool.
I also enjoy having "NO GIANT DEAD PIXEL" on the phones screen which is such a joy to watch movies or gaming.
Bastianp, 18 Nov 2025I don't understand what nubia wants to produce, i see some people on youtube poll who are... morefor me its the trigger buttons and notch free display and no round edges
using a xperia 1 vi atm cuz same reason after switching from iphone xs max after 6 years (the notch always blocking the view in 21:9 movies and the round edges cutting off the ui fucked me soooooooooooooo hard up over the years) but after a year i realized i really need those trigger buttons to be able to enjoy playing shooter games
using a attachable controller worked too but its kinda too cumbersome to always take with me

This is from the vivo review, mediatek chip.
So, qualcomm lies, mediatek lies, intel lies, AMD lies. What are you gonna do? Should I ask the monks that live on a mountain near me if they can take you in?
I think you guys are to used to nasty processing at this point. I expected the pictures to be dog crap. Especially you mentioned folliage.... But expanding the photo while I still see the same over sharpening and what not of all phones I don't like ... Distant people and folliage looked less crap and aggressively over processed like most other phones. Better than flagships.
Anonymous, 17 Nov 2025It's for marketing and misleading uninformed people. Some users on this website seem to t... moreWhy don't you try driving a car in 1st gear while revving as high as it can go for fifteen minutes, then share the results with us?
Basically every laptop with a powerful CPU will do the same, you can squeeze absurd amounts of computing power out of them but they will overheat while doing so, Intel even gave it a name some time ago: "turbo boost". Hell, even some consumer electronics like blenders or similar will say clearly in the instruction manual to let the device cool down after 5-10 minutes of use.
How is underclocking the CPU by default a solution? That's what throttling is, it's the CPU underclocking to prevent itself from heating too much, but unlike your brilliant idea, you still have a much higher clock available during everyday use, not pointless benchmarks.
Undervolting would be a different story, but mobile CPUs are already way more optimized than laptop ones, so it would be pointless too.
I don't understand what nubia wants to produce, i see some people on youtube poll who are galzing this phone, but it has so many default. The first one is the screen, a non LTPO Amoled screen for a phone like this ? Its a joke i guess, and no periscope camera ? What's the point of buying this phone over a Xiaomi 15T Pro ? U will maybe telling me the SoC ? Who can't even be handle by a "watercooling"
Invetor, 17 Nov 2025Yeah I've had a friend who played competitive games like PUBG and MLBB. He once said only... morexiaomi, the xiaomi speakers are breathtaking (for a non-gaming phone), unbelievably smooth.
hmm since redmagic phones are used in those tournaments AND ONLY redmagic, im guessing it's some licensing thing, they're marketing the phones, simple as.
Throtlling , 17 Nov 2025So even active water cooling can not handle Elite 5? What is the point in that chip then :/It's for marketing and misleading uninformed people. Some users on this website seem to think that flagship phone SoCs are extremely powerful. They aren't. They are only extremely powerful in only about 10 minutes or so under heavy load.
It's easy to make an SoC not throttle. Just lower the clock speeds. Qualcomm won't be able to fool uninformed people if it does that, though.
Hemedans, 17 Nov 2025Most people don't look at score, they check percent and assume phone is better. What O... moreThe thing is, the best loop score isn't necessarily the true peak performance as the GPU may throttle in the first loop. Anyway, GSMArena should stop reporting the GPU stability percentage as it's misleading. Stability percentages aren't throttling percentages. 90% stability may be less performing than 75% stability. You have to compare the actual scores.
Throtlling , 17 Nov 2025So even active water cooling can not handle Elite 5? What is the point in that chip then :/Even thin laptop can't handle it, Since sd 888 era phone soc have became laptop soc they use too much power for phone to handle, just pick soc with better perfomance at low power, don't bother with peak power.
Invetor, 17 Nov 2025Yeah I've had a friend who played competitive games like PUBG and MLBB. He once said only... moreYeah rog use AI to help gamers, it's practically not phone nowadays it can even grind for you.
Anonymous, 17 Nov 2025I mean... OnePlus 15 can handle it, without water cooling.
Nubia seems to slap "every ... moreMost people don't look at score, they check percent and assume phone is better.
What Oneplus, Xiaomi and other mainstream phone do they fake score at kernel level by reporting lower max score so when they throttle 3dmark still show high percentage.
Take Example Oneplus 15
Max Score is 7370
Sustained score 5132
Sustained percentage 69.6
Redmagic 11 pro
Max Score 8135
Sustained score 6153
Percentage 75.6
So if you check percentage you may think difference is only 5-6% but if you adjust peak perfomance of op15 to same as redmagic 11 you see difference is more than 10%.
Also this liquid cooling its for spreading heat, not like other liquid cooler, it still use vapour chamber and active cooling, check Geekerwan test he explained it really well.
Shockingly the design works well. The little fan spinning away keeps the phone much cooler to use for longer periods of time. Especially in gaming. I'm a heavy gamer and currently use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version of the Samsung Galaxy S23FE (US/Verizon). This phone gets nuclear when playing games like "Games of Thrones Kings road" and the game engine using Unreal 5. My phone absolutely melts.
So for this bugger to have a working liquid cooling system with a fan that actually does something, sounds like next level stuff. Absolutely cyberpunk feel. This will be my next purchase.
See where this rabbit 🐇 hole takes me.
Finally, an honest review! Yes, the speakers are rubbish just like every other Red Magic. The people that tell you they're good just never had anything better to compare them to. Chris from Techtablets also said it. Keep in mind all the review that are out now are the paid ones. It's good that I waited. I'd rather buy the Asus ROG 9 than this.
Throtlling , 17 Nov 2025So even active water cooling can not handle Elite 5? What is the point in that chip then :/I mean... OnePlus 15 can handle it, without water cooling.
Nubia seems to slap "every type of cooling that sounds cool on a phone" and then never optimise it.
It's like using a 480mm rad on a heavily overlocked CPU, but you didn't power the fans or worse, didn't remove the plastic from the CPU block.
It's like smashing a big battery in a phone and note optimise the OS, so that battery will underperform for it's capacity.
jiyen235, 17 Nov 2025The speakers suck, the battery is worse than the 17 Pro Max, Find X9 Pro and the Oneplus 15 an... moreYeah I've had a friend who played competitive games like PUBG and MLBB. He once said only RedMagic phones are allowed in tournaments. I don't know why though, but I guess it's because Asus ROG phones give players unfair advantages like aim assist (don't quote me on that).
Also, by 17 Pro Max, you mean the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, right? Or is it the Apple one?
