Bl457Xor, 20 Nov 2025Yes if you spend 40%+ more, you have better phones (except raw performances). What a surprise.... moreThe performance gap between rog and redmagic are barely noticeable compared to other flagship with same cpus. Even if RM has +1% higher score it doesn't mean it will gain 1000fps anyways because both of these are gaming phones. This isn't a dekstop/laptop comparison when u compare ryzen 4090 with celeron 4090 type shit.

Hey man you do you ig but why not just stick to wireless buds if you're ok with wireless charging?

jiyen235, 21 Nov 2025i dunno man, i've been using a 3 dollar adapter and i have a 26 dollar better quality one... moreI mean I use the Apple adapter and plan to get a FiiO KA11 at some point, so I am familiar with adapters and I don't hate them. It would still always be more convenient to have a headphone jack though, that's for sure. Unlike that other commenter though, I can live without it since I prioritise cameras way more.

jiyen235, 21 Nov 2025if your usb-c port breaks, you're going to have to repair/change the phone regardless. Ev... moreI saw some testing on wireless charging vs normal charging and there was no significative difference on battery wear. But maybe you get only phones with the fastest charging possible and they overeat to battery death.
        Now follow my simple reasoning:
        1. The USB port breaks because is used.
        2. With a jack (instead of adapter) you use it less (and the adapter probably is used also on the go, while charging is normally is done by letting the phone be, so is worst for the USB port health).
        3. Use less = Break less

So follow my super smart plan: If I charge it slowly at night wirelessy (while water cooling it) and I use the jack, my USB port will never breaks! And even if my curse breaks it, I can still use the phone for a while and calmy schedule my repair!

You don't want to settle for a "mediocre" (but still better than iphone 17 pro max) battery life/charging and live in my utopian word where the USB port doesn't breaks?

Bl457Xor, 21 Nov 2025Maybe I'm the only one, but my last 3 phones failed because the USB-C port stop working (... moreif your usb-c port breaks, you're going to have to repair/change the phone regardless. Even if you had the 3.5mm port, what would've changed? I mean wireless charging is there but still, the heat would kill off your battery faster than anything else. I know what heat does to phones, i've over exerted them and it led to far worse battery life.

jiyen235, 21 Nov 2025i dunno man, i've been using a 3 dollar adapter and i have a 26 dollar better quality one... moreMaybe I'm the only one, but my last 3 phones failed because the USB-C port stop working (The phones were Poco, Samsung, Xiaomi, Asus ROG (luckily ROG has 2 ports). So for my personal experience if a phone has a 3.5mm jack I can avoid repairs or early phone replacement.
If It can Wireless charge too even better for my USB-C port. I know is a personal trauma but that is why I go a ROG last time (and I have 1/2 ports working).

Anonymous, 20 Nov 2025Unironically recommending Samsung / AKG buds in 2025:Samsung has bought Harman in 2016 in which AKG belong. But AKG still makes good phones wired or wireless. Look at N5 Hybrid/N9 Hybrid. I use both daily - very good sound especially via wi-fi dongle.

jiyen235, 21 Nov 2025mid battery life and mid charging ๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜นJust checked his past comments, this guy owns a Vivo x200 ultra. This redmagic has 6.5 hours extra on the active use score compared to his phone while charging 6% more in 30 minutes. There's also a huge difference in launch price between the two.
                  So? What now?

jiyen235, 21 Nov 2025mid battery life and mid charging ๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜นDude, do you realize people can see your profile? iPhone 17 is amongst your favourite devices, you're complaining about the redmagic whose battery lasts 5 hours longer than the iphone according to gsmarena tests, while also charging way faster, being more performant and costing about half.
Stop being a toxic troll and try to at least put some effort into researching how people can disprove your little charade in two seconds like I just did. Buh-bye

Darth Caesium, 20 Nov 2025I actually have the Moondrop Chu 2. They're really great IEMs for only ยฃ20, but the filte... moreoh wow the chu 2 really does have horrible QC.

Ig next time, get something from 7hz. But honestly, if you want sound quality at these price points, you'll have to compromise on the build quality/QC. That's just how it is.

The Samsung x AKG i used was not the greatest sounding pair but it lasted for more than 2 years, before my cousin ran it over with a chair ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I used the more expensive Moondrop Aria whose quality can be found in the cheaper Moondrop May, it even has a USB type-c cable so it's absolutely excellent. My Aria lasted for 2-4 years before one side became more distorted, mind you, i dropped it numerous times and its faceplate came open, used superglue to glue it all together a number of times. The fact that it lasted was a miracle. Oh and i had a similar volume dropping issue, well, my right ear didn't work at one point. I changed the cable and voila! Sound is back. That cable I got after 2-4 months and used ever since. It was a cheap 4 dollar cable which had a mic, a huge plus for me.

After 2 days you literally forget about it.

People who dont uses this just act like it's a massive issue. I'm not saying the lack of 3.5mm is good but acting like it's a life threatening situation and a game changer is the goofiest thing ever.

Slightly more convenient? Yes. Absolute game changer in terms of comfort? How so??? I literally don't see anything that crazy. People are free to like what they like, but these people putting so much value into this and ignoring everything else is just anti-consumer. "This 2 dollar upgrade is far more important than a big battery, better charging or better speakers, trust me bro".

Probably better than wh... moreI don't own or have ever listened to those buds nor am I interested in them. What I want to say is that I hate this attitude of "smartphones don't have headphone jacks anymore? Just buy new headphones". The guy obviously already has headphones that he likes and is satisfied with, what's the point of whining about DACs and suggesting to produce more and more e-waste when the solution for him is to just have a headphone jack on his smartphone?
Also, to be precise, sony xperia smartphones actually have pretty decent DACs in them, as did some LGs like the V50 and V60 that many people use to this day just to play music.

"But the DAC on the redmagic is terrible!!111" Even then, not everyone needs to have the absolute possible listening experience at any moment, maybe when he needs his smartphone to play music he's walking in the street or whatever, you wouldn't distinguish a good DAC from a bad one with traffic noise around you.
And again, use cases. While my sennheiser 560s sound better than my soundcore x20 buds and bose quiet comfort, I still use all three basically every day for different applications.

Samsung's akg buds have one of the best harmon profiles for casual listening and allow a lot of eq customization due to their neutral sound.
You can't say you only need headphones for casual street listening and then when someone recs casual, albeit good, headphones to scoff at something you know nothing about. Either way it shows that you don't actually know what you want but want a reason to simp for a mediocre underpowered dac with only 3.5mm

They're really great IEMs for only ยฃ20, but the filters are badly designed and mean it has very poor moisture resistance. After owning them for about 3 weeks, the one for the right ear has become much quieter than the left one because of it. I'd personally pay more and buy from a different company that doesn't compromise durability and quality control.
