I am concerned with the bootloader unlock as well as a few other users on here. I had (and returned) the 8S Pro, and I had to do the EDL/janky as heck bootloader unlock where I had to grab the fastboot files from the 8 Pro and move them to the 8S Pro to unlock the bootloader to give it fastboot commands. RIDICULOUS that this is a thing.
I am also wondering about Google AR Core, as it was not available for the 8S Pro (I am not sure about the 8 Pro). I am not sure why it wouldn't be available, other than that would require some sort of certification from Google.
Can someonet who has this phone please boot into the bootloader and try the do to the fastboot commands to try to unlock the bootloader? Thank someone very much.
Also, try to install AR Core from the Google Play store to see if it is available.
If the bootloader is unlockable and the AR Core is available, then I will most likely get this phone over any others.
If the bootloader isn't unlockable, I may have to try something else. Might have to wait for the Motorola Edge + 2024 comes out. I have heard that OnePlus has even been stingy the past few years with unlocking their bootloaders, which is CRAZY. They have gone straight down the crapper since Carl Pei left.

The software on redmagic 8 pro was atrocious, unless they fix it and go near stock, I'm not buying another redmagic phone

I would expect codm to support 120hz in the future seeing as snapdragon 8 gen 2 devices get 120hz support. Dont like the new design it looks dated and tacky

I nearly wanted to buy one but after hearing that the Software updates will last for only 2 years I had to have a rethink. How can such a grand device not be supported for at least 5 years.

For a phone that's supposed to be all about gaming and even has a dedicated fan and air ducts on either side of the chassis for airflow, it sure does have pretty terrible sustained performance.
