Storytelling takes passion, talent, sacrifice, and thousands of people working behind the scenes to bring powerful moments to life. This Africa Month, we celebrate the power of African stories and the creators who bring them to the world. In collaboration with Partners Against Piracy, the talented cohort from the MultiChoice Talent Factory used their creativity to shine a light on the real impact of piracy - from lost opportunities in the creative industry to the risks it poses to consumers. Featuring Teko Modise, Pabi Cooper, and Nelisiwe Sibiya, this powerful campaign reminds us that every legal view helps protect the future of African storytelling, sport, film, television, and entertainment. Support what you love, protect the creative community, and say no to piracy.

This Africa Month, we're celebrating the coming together of this continent. Celebrating our one-ness, our diversity, our culture and the richness of our stories. We celebrate and recognise that Africa is, because of her people. From the bustling streets of Mombasa to the peaks of Kilimanjaro. From the depths of the Masai Mara to the depth of Cape Town. And as we celebrate today, let us celebrate our stories and the people who bring them together Happy Africa Day.

🎬 A first for a French group on African capital markets. Speaking at the Africa CEO Forum 2026, David Mignot, CEO of CANAL+ Group Africa, confirmed that the entire group, not solely its African subsidiary, will complete a secondary inward listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange on 3 June 2026, making Canal+ the first French company ever to trade on the JSE while retaining its primary listing on the London Stock Exchange. 🌍 The move is far more than a technical exercise in dual listing. By opening its capital to South African and broader African investors, the group is anchoring its ownership structure within the continent where it now operates at scale following the acquisition of MultiChoice, the parent company of DStv. It is a deliberate step toward what African capital markets have been calling for years: global operators on the continent placing meaningful equity within reach of African shareholders. 📊 The timing reflects the new economic reality Canal+ is building. With group revenue up 41% in Q1 2026 on the back of the MultiChoice integration, and pay-TV growth accelerating in French-speaking Africa, the JSE listing aligns the group's capital base with its operational footprint. It also delivers on the voluntary commitment made to South African competition authorities at the time of the MultiChoice deal. 📍 Kigali, 14–15 May 2026. 👉 Follow the live: https://lnkd.in/dVFD7MSn #ACF2026 #AfricaCEOForum
