We took BBC Academy Live Presents: BBC Verify on Tour to the University of Lancashire, giving young people the tools to thrive in today’s fast-moving media landscape. Attendees said it best: “Packed with insight.” “Exactly what I needed for my career.” “Inspiring from start to finish.” Nearly 200 students from colleges and sixth forms across Lancashire joined us for a full day of: 🎬 Hands-on workshops 🎙 Masterclasses 📝 Real-world storytelling and production advice We explored how to turn standout ideas into powerful stories, and what it actually looks like to work in this industry right now – open, honest and rooted in real experience. Hosted by BBC North West Reporter Molly Brewer, with expert sessions from BBC Academy teams and University staff who brought real-world insight into every room.
