Think of it as a searchable surfboard that rides across 72 public design systems, 55 component references, 24 foundation directories, and 18 deep‑dive guides (plus 7 UI “blueprints” for tricky patterns). Why it’s a keeper ✧ Grab‑and‑go component inspo – jump straight into Figma files or Storybooks for buttons, tabs, date‑pickers, you name it, without a million browser tabs. ✧ Foundation filters – compare how Apple, Google, IBM, etc., handle color tokens, typography, and accessibility in seconds. ✧ Blueprints & guides – curated write‑ups on patterns like radio groups or segmented controls, so you can skip reinventing and get straight to refining. The outcome of design is change. Strategic designers are intentional about change and reduce unintended consequences. But organizations typically focus on problem-solving, which creates a sense of control for practitioners; they can determine what the problem is, so the next step is to solve the problem, find a solution. Problem-solving appears to be practical, doable, and efficient. But problem reductionism leads to discrete solutions that generate unintentional change and unintended consequences (e.g., harm to secondary stakeholders, new problems, contamination, conflicts, etc.). Design problems are wicked and complex. Therefore, designers make proposals rather than solving problems. A proposal is a conjecture that may or may not work as expected in context. Yet, it is a conjecture that carries integrated and systemic intentionality. Strategic designers develop expertise to understand broad situations with high uncertainties and make decisions with incomplete information, combining evidence and intuition.
