What does 24/7 methane monitoring look like in the Permian?   We’ve installed continuous methane monitoring across 421 legacy XTO sites – which is all our key assets in New Mexico. This moves us closer to our Permian Net Zero ambition, and we remain on track to expand continuous monitoring to all remaining key Permian locations this year.   By combining fixed cameras, thousands of sensors, and AI-enabled alerts through our Vantage remote operations center in Houston, we’re strengthening our ability to manage methane in real time.   Learn more about our approach to methane detection and mitigation: https://lnkd.in/eAv-cmAV

Recycling, specifically advanced recycling, is key to transitioning to a more circular economy for plastics. Why? Advanced recycling can: 1. Recycle more plastic – and more types of plastic. 2. Help keep plastic from being sent to landfills or being incinerated. 3. Help governments and countries achieve ambitious recycling targets. This week, we took an exciting step toward strengthening U.S. manufacturing of advanced synthetic graphite.   In collaboration with ACP Technologies LLC in Ashland, Kentucky, we held a ribbon cutting to mark an important milestone in our large-scale pilot facility – beginning the work to produce novel carbon-based materials that ExxonMobil will use as a precursor for advanced synthetic graphite — a critical component in lithium-ion batteries.   By leveraging our advanced technology, we can deliver battery anode graphite with up to: 🔋 30% higher usable battery capacity ⚡ 30% faster charging ⏱️ 4x longer battery life   We’re advancing the future of energy storage and the technologies that depend on it.   Learn more about our progress: https://lnkd.in/g3NAPZzE
