Website Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 24, 2026
This policy explains what information is processed when you visit this website (devcheck.app, “the Site”), how cookies work here, and the choices and rights you have. The DevCheck Android app has its own policy at Apps Privacy Policy — this page covers the website only.
Who we are
The Site is operated by EX Solutions Inc. (“we”, “us”), the developer of DevCheck, and we are the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: [email protected].
The short version
- The Site has no user accounts and no sign-in. We do not know who you are.
- We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not profile you or follow you across visits or sites. We do not run analytics frameworks that profile you.
- The device data you browse here is aggregated by device model. The app submissions it comes from don't include names, accounts, advertising IDs, location, contacts or other information intended to identify a person (see the app policy for how it is collected).
- The Site shows no advertising and loads no advertising scripts.
Information we process
Server and security logs. Like almost every website, our servers and our content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) automatically record technical request data: IP address, browser user-agent, the pages requested, timestamps, and response codes. We use this data to operate the Site, prevent abuse (for example rate limiting), and diagnose problems. Our server logs are deleted after 14 days (Cloudflare keeps its own logs under its policy), and log data is not used to identify or profile visitors.
Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. A small script reports each page view to Cloudflare: the page, the referring site, browser and device type, the country (derived from your IP address), and page-load timing. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you across visits or other sites. We only see totals (for example, visits per page per day), never individual visitors. See Cloudflare Web Analytics for how it works.
Nothing else is collected from browsing. Searching, comparing devices, and reading pages do not create a profile of you and are not transmitted to third parties, other than the technical requests needed to serve the pages and the visit statistics above.
Cookies and browser storage
The Site uses a small number of first-party cookies and browser-storage entries. Essential entries keep the Site working and remember your choices; they do not track you across sites.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
devcheck_hw_theme | Essential (local storage) | Remembers your light/dark theme preference. | Until cleared |
devcheck_compare_*, devcheck_soc_compare_* | Essential (session storage) | Holds your device/chip compare selections for the current tab. | Browser tab session |
devcheck:bench-restore:*, devcheck:devices-restore:*, devcheck:series-open:* | Essential (session storage) | Remembers your place in the device and benchmark lists (scroll position, expanded series) so the Back button returns you where you were. | Browser tab session |
dc_noads | Essential (cookie) | Opt-out flag that disables advertising in this browser. | 2 years |
Cloudflare cookies (e.g. __cf_bm) | Essential (cookie) | Bot detection and security, set by our CDN provider Cloudflare. | Minutes to hours |

You can clear all stored entries with your browser's site-data controls. None of these entries requires consent — they only keep the Site working and remember choices you made. The Site sets no advertising cookies.
Legal bases
- Legitimate interests: operating and securing the Site, short-term technical logging, abuse prevention, delivering the pages you request, and counting visits in aggregate (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
Sharing and recipients
Personal data is not sold, and is shared only with the service providers needed to run the Site:
- DigitalOcean — hosting of the Site's servers, including the server logs described above.
- Cloudflare — content delivery, DDoS protection and caching (processes IP addresses in transit), and cookieless visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy framework.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and various US state privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority.
An honest limitation: the Site keeps no accounts and no identifiers tied to you, so in most cases we hold nothing that we can link to you in order to act on such a request — the only personal data we ever touch is short-lived technical log data. We will nonetheless respond to any request sent to [email protected]. US state residents: we do not sell or share personal information.
Children
The Site is a technical reference and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
About the device data shown on this Site
The specifications, aggregate benchmark results and market statistics published on the Site are compiled from DevCheck app submissions grouped by device model and hardware variant, not by user. The submissions don't include names, accounts, advertising IDs, location, contacts or other information intended to identify a person.
Benchmark runs submitted from the app can also appear on their own pages. A run page shows the device model, scores and date of that run; no user account, name, advertising ID or other user identifier is attached to it. How the app collects this data is described in the Apps Privacy Policy.
Changes
We will update this policy when the Site's data practices change and update the effective date above. Significant changes will be visible on this page.
