What do you do if you lack startup experience as a mid-career professional?
IMO, the biggest challenges people face moving from corporate roles to start-up environments are cultural change (speed, accountability & decision-making, title vs. readiness to do everything), fitting into a "chaos for a purpose environment", willingness to fail, etc. Understanding/experience in dealing with the constraints, hurdles, decision-making, etc. is key for switching to the the entrepreneurial land. Aside from the suggestion listed, I think people can always become intrapreneurs in their corporate environment and try practicing many aspects of entrepreneurship in a safe mode to the extent corporate boundaries allow, or take on a startup advisory role in the areas of their strength for learning (e.g. pro bono)

What are the most effective scaling strategies for FinTech businesses?
Business model should be adaptable to the changes in market, economy, regulation, competition etc. The faster business can sense the changes, makes a decision to continue/pivot/change etc. will allow then to navigate the rough waters.

What are the most effective scaling strategies for FinTech businesses?
Yes, before and after launching having a clear understanding of the problem and market will enable businesses to gauge the fit. Else it will be a solution looking for a problem and market. After launching the product roadmap should have 2 tracks, strategy driven and market demand driven. For market driven product roadmap ask your existing customers and prospects what they like to have and would they buy it. This will allow constantly to have a product-market alignment
