Are you already OR trying to be a digitally driven / enabled / supported business ?
Ready to jump on the digital bandwagon ?
What were your business drivers for going digital ? Are you doing it because everyone else is doing it ? or your business is losing to digital disruptors ? or you are the new kid on the digital block ? Depending on the answer to these questions it is somewhat easy to predict what type of digital business model you may have or is planning to build.
Before developing a digital strategy and transformation plan, it is important to do a self-assessment of where your business is coming from, where you are today and where you want to go tomorrow. The key is to think and decide if you want to be a business that:
- has a core digital capability and has a business model that is built to deliver the products and services that will fit into digital channels (if you are not a start up this may require re-architecting and re-shaping your entire business, be prepared for a long and tough execution of your digital transformation plan) – digitally driven business
- has to start converting selected existing products and services into digital ready products and services or introduce new digital products and services that can be delivered through digital channels – digitally enabled business
- will leave existing products in its current format as long as possible while creating a digital delivery channel that will fit a non-digital ready product – digitally supported business
Let me know what your digital drivers were and whether you are a digitally driven / enabled / supported business today or striving to transform to.
Next, building a digital strategy.

8yGreat article Rojin Nair writing your own content...very cool! There was a Bizagi e-book on digital transformation that I was emailed a little while back with a lot of great info. I'll send it to you if you like.
