We had an incredible time at the Women in Payments 2026 U.S. Symposium, a partnership that reflects our shared commitment to celebrating the achievements, innovation, and leadership of women across the payments industry. Congratulations to Susan Warner on taking home the Community Impact award! And a round of applause for our finalists — Jessica Lecornu, Sherri Haymond, Ranjita Iyer, Bunita Sawhney, Stefany Bello, Randall Tucker, and Shiza Ahmed — their work and leadership continue to move us forward. We were also proud to have Silvana Hernández serve as an award presenter, further highlighting Mastercard’s leadership and presence on stage. Mastercard speakers also shared their insights. Bunita Sawhney dove into our latest consumer insights that are driving innovation in global payments. Roiana Reid explored market trends and how organizations can navigate economic uncertainty. And Sherri Haymond led a workshop on customer opportunities in #AgenticCommerce and #Stablecoin. As Women’s History Month begins, we’re proud to celebrate the impact of women leaders everywhere - their strength, resilience, and achievements that inspire progress across our business and our industry. At Mastercard, we remain committed to fostering inclusive environments that reinforce a collaborative and supportive culture. Because for us, inclusion isn’t just a value - it’s what drives the future of payments. #WeAreMastercard

Gen Z has entered the chat — and the finance department. Raised on digital wallets and one-click checkouts, the newest generation of employees is questioning why B2B payments still rely on paper checks, manual approvals and disconnected workflows. At Mastercard, we’re seeing how shifting expectations are accelerating the modernization of commercial payments. From embedded finance in ERP systems to virtual cards with real-time controls and enhanced security, businesses are moving toward faster, smarter and more transparent payment experiences. For Gen Z, speed, simplicity and security aren’t perks — they’re baseline. And as they step into decision-making roles, modernization becomes less of a “nice to have” and more of a competitive necessity. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eMYSWbgK #GenZ #DigitalWallets #B2BPayments

Small businesses are signaling they’re ready for change — but not in one uniform way. In our latest research collaboration with PYMNTS, nearly half of small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) say they’re highly interested in reducing reliance on cash, yet the “why” (and the path forward) varies widely by industry, size, location and stage of growth. The research underscores a clear takeaway: there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to helping SMEs modernize their payment workflows. Leveraging digital payments unlocks efficiency, real-time insights, and greater control — giving businesses a smarter, more connected way to manage cash flow and grow. Read the report to explore the insights — and what they mean for building solutions that meet SMEs where they are. https://lnkd.in/e3JY5mcD

"When communities feel seen and heard in the design, technology becomes a tool they trust — not something they tolerate." Across India’s farms and orchards, bees drive billions in crop value. Now, an AI-powered platform is helping the beekeepers behind that impact improve hive health, incomes and climate resilience. Founded by Monika Shukla, Buzzworthy Ventures (the Humble Bee) created BeeKind — combining AI insights with a human-in-the-loop model designed alongside rural communities. That inclusive approach earned recognition in the AI2AI Challenge from the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth and data.org. With 6,000 hives deployed across eight ecological zones and nearly 1,800 women beekeepers supported, BeeKind shows what’s possible when innovation amplifies, not replaces, human expertise. What started as a virtual data visualization bootcamp turned into a remarkable full-circle moment at Mastercard: Maria T. realized the course leader was once her 3-year-old kindergarten student in Buenos Aires. Today, Nicolas Z. mentors his former teacher on business intelligence tools like Power BI and automation — proof that in the age of AI, expertise isn’t defined by seniority, but by curiosity. 🗣️ “Nico’s generation grew up with these tools and technologies. The learning is embedded in them,” Maria says. 🗣️ And for Nico, reskilling is rooted in partnership: “I don’t say: ‘I’m the expert,’ I say, ‘Let’s try this together.’” As AI and advanced analytics reshape the payments industry, continuous learning isn’t optional — it’s essential. Through internal platforms like Unlocked and peer mentorship, Mastercard employees are building new capabilities in data, automation and visualization to stay ahead of rapid change. In the latest episode of Your Personal Economist, produced by Mastercard in partnership with MoneyLion and Malka Media, Michelle Meyer, Chief Economist at the Mastercard Economics Institute, shares how stock market movements shape economic confidence and, ultimately, real-world behavior. Major indices like the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow don’t just track company or sector performance. They also reflect how households and businesses feel about the economy. Those shifts in confidence can influence everything from consumer spending to business investment and hiring decisions, even among people who aren’t active investors. Because markets move on expectations about the future, changes in sentiment can become self-reinforcing amplifying optimism or uncertainty across the broader economy. A smart, timely look at why market psychology matters as much as market performance.
