Fairphone 6+ emerges in listing with surprising amount of RAM
The Fairphone 6 launched back in June of last year, and we’ve yet to see any signs of its successor. Being that we’re in the midst of a global memory chip crisis certainly hasn’t helped the Dutch-based sustainable brand, but a new report suggests we may see a Fairphone 6+ soon.
The device was spotted in a listing by the folks over at NieuweMobiel and, interestingly enough, the 6+ will feature more RAM than the current Fairphone 6.
We can see three listings for the Fairphone 6+ with the models all reportedly featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. As a reminder, the regular Fairphone 6 was only offered with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, so seeing this upgrade at this point in time is impressive. It remains to be seen what the markup will be. The Fairphone 6 launched at €599 last year in its 8/256GB trim.
The 6+ is also gaining a new Cobalt Blue color which will be joined by the familiar Horizon Black and Forest Green hues. Hopefully we’ll see more details on the Fairphone 6+ soon.
