Increasing the battery size doesn't compensate for the slower chip and smaller camera sensor.

Only an XDA developer guy is digging up non-existent issues regarding HyperOS. Because that's just how HyperOS haters are always looking for something to complain about.

Not impressed, actually disappointed with the battery life.
Why?
Look at how close the much smaller, with much smaller battery Xiaomi 17 is.
Redmi is not optimised, it could have been so much better with this battery size.

Why is it just 7 minutes longer than base S25, while the other 3 battery stats are so much higher on the Redmi?

The problem is that it doesn't actually, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 doesn't support UFS 4.0 speeds at all, and the chipset itself is weak, especially for the price, this is nothing more than disgusting false advertising.

Both have stuff that the other does not have.
Sony uses ddr5/ufs3.1, 1/1.56" + 1/3" , samsung oled ( korean oled is better than chinese even with lower specs) .
One chose to sell same phone at higher price (30% more).
The other chose to make some upgrades and some downgrades.
Neither of them are worth having. Even phones from Nothing are better deal today.

People will call this expensive because of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, ignoring the fact that it has UFS 4.0, a large battery, a flagship-grade display, build quality, amazing OS, nice camera and so on. This is a night-and-day difference compared to the Xperia 10 VIII.
