I own 4 phones from the Xiaomi's Poco lineup. The oldest is the Poco X4 GT.

What users expect from the Xiaomi Redmi Note is excellent camera performance that exceeds its price, and versatility to run light games.
The Note 14 series has failed to meet these demands; the camera only has a small sensor, still lacks a telephoto lens, and doesn't have the good front camera that most people want.
The performance is also unsatisfactory, even less convincing than the worn-out D8300.
It's just like the scams Samsung is pulling in the mid-range market.

Before the Honor 600, there was the X8 Pro Max both are good phones, each with its own strengths and weaknesses.
Let's see who can compete with this Redmi Note over the next few months before judging this is overpriced phone.

The delusion of comment section hits again. This is a perfect phone for my aunt for example. She opens camera, take photo, done. Opens facebook, close, done. Opens gallery, close, done. Calls someone on 3-4-5G not on any app, hangs up, done.
She never plays games, never runs antutu, etc.
She only needs a big ass screen, big ass battery, one OK camera and thats it. She has a huawei y6 or something 6 years old pain in the a.. phone. Do you really think this cant be an upgrade for many people? Lol.
I'll wait for poco f9 ultra review, and buy one of them to her for christmas. Price will also drop a bit, so even better. Everybody happy.

HONOR 600 (recently launched) with double the storage for instance for the 8+512GB variant with Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, and 1/1.4" 200MP main camera is €500. Far superior cameras as well as a better processor. €100 cheaper with double the storage. Poco has many phones for way better value. Even the Xiaomi 17t wasn't much more at launch about €50 more.

The Reno16 has already hit the €800 mark, and Vivo hasn't released the V80 yet. S26 FE is essentially the same phone as the S23 FE, yet the price has gone up.

Why does need a "security" app for core functions like clearing ram/cache/app data? you either never use hypergarbage or the only things you use it for are calls and sms which makes your opinion invalid

Some Transsion phones with the G99 also support 4K.. let the tech do its thing. Maybe Xiaomi has a custom controller inside to support UFS 4.1 who knows?

Hardly any phones launched in the last two months in Europe (Chinese ones anyway) but most phones launched in the past year are much better options at current prices. Do you really think €600 is good value for this?

Actually in Europe it seems to cost €600... The rating is extremely generous given a €600 price tag.

Well, it has it's moments, like great screen and strong battery life, looking good and is (on paper) really tough phone. Cameras and chip are good enough for me (I don't do games, or photo shoots). But this price is a no go. I have waited for this one to come out, couse I need a new phone, but I'll go with Honor Magic8 Lite and save some 200 euros for basicly the same phone...

Why does gsmarena just mention US$ prices? The phone is not even sold in the US. €599.90 for the 8gb 256gb variant of this in Europe. Holy guacamole!
