Google maps ? Here We Go is a better alternative.
Banking apks don't want to open without GMS ? YOU can still use all banking servoces by signing in thru browser. All stock apks can be replaced by better non Google apks. FYI my cell is Poco M6 Pro running android 16.

Well, doesn't really seem to be benefitting from that battery as much as it should. These lower end chipsets aren't really making a different on efficiency, most of it is just having an LTPS or the better LTPO display and software optimisation, that's how the Poco does so much better despite an 8500mAh battery instead of 9210mAh.
I'm guessing this will eventually hit a lower price point when fully released and then it'll balance out, because right now between the outright bad efficiency (resulting in the real charge rate being slower than the Poco as well but not overall terrible) and other decisions like the optical fingerprint reader that is incredibly last gen to use it really has to be cheaper to make any sense.

gh6st, 28 Aug 2026The CPU is not really better then on previous gen 😂It's due to global components crisis mass related in the news several months ago. Retail price would have definitely soared with a better chipset than Redmi Note 15 Pro+.

So, so disappointed with this Redmi Note 17 series. I used to buy Redmi Note phones, but not anymore. Not worth the money. Save some money and buy yourself a proper phone like Xiaomi 15, 16 or 17.
10,000mAh battery is insane. I can't believe that only like a year ago we were still pushing 5,000mAh due to regulatory reasons. I just bought a new phone and 6,000mAh I thought was large.
Nice looking phone but shame about the meh-tier cameras.

They found laughably low WiFi battery test numbers. Even after an updated test, the numbers they got were barely any higher. This phone got 33 hours on the WiFi test and the x8 pro max got 23 hours

These photos look pretty off. They have pretty saturated color science, but one that has a very "budget phone" look to it and not a fun sort of saturation like on Samsung or motorola.
I wonder how it compares to the base Pro 5G, I saw it a while back in a store (prematurely put up on demo) and the photos it took looked just. Okay.

Between this and the Indian variant of the OnePlus Nord 6 with its 9000 mah battery, things are heating up in the battery beast segment. The OPN6 has a much better chipset, though.

I am not into politics and religion like you, I prefer things that can proven objectively. It needs minimum 8 GB of ram to be smooth. you need a "security'' app for core functions like clearing ram/cache/app data and force stopping apps, why aren't these built into settings? turning off authorisation and revocation does not disable xiaomi's data collection. you need to sign into a xiaomi account just to use adb to use debloaters. not to mention that hypergarbage always has a bug or two
