Why can't you filter with HarmonyOS version on the search option like the other OS? Also results from Huawei phones in benchmarks appear on analysis but then is not on the page of the phone to compare against any model you want

mobile phone 2, 30 Jul 2026like i said .... i am not intreasted in story books ..... its so simple if i want to ... moreSo you want to keep arguing but don't want to listen to the other side? Cool.

I did post evidence. Posted quotes directly from their articles, I shared photos and screenshots and gave my analysis. You keep asking for more, yet you bring nothing to the table except blanket statements glazing Huawei and argument from authority fallacy. Just because someone has a bigger reach than me doesn't mean they're automatically right, and you well know how all those reviews are vague and never go into deep analysis. The bigger the channel, the worse the review because all they're focused on is production quality which brings views. There are so many golden gems on YT, Telegram etc which actually put effort into the review content but are rare to find and often drowned by these bigger channels. Honestly you don't even need to go further from GSMArena because these guys post uncompressed samples and have established consistent scenes which are honest and easy to compare.

You can keep behaving like that but it's not a good look. Cheers.

mobile phone 2, 30 Jul 2026keep it simple TBH i am not intrested to read story books ..... just keep it simple ...... moreYou're saying keep it simple but then say provide more evidence. So make up your mind, do you want complex or simple? I'm explaining what was written and it's literally out there in the dxomark review. Do you want each specific link for everything?

Also while I remembered something else. When the user comments were still up on dxomark, they wrote this under the Vivo X100 Pro article (as to reply to a user who asked how it scores lower than iPhone in skintones when the samples show otherwise):

"An important reason why we have the following color score difference is the fact that as mentioned in the iPhone 15 Pro Max review, the device has been analyzed using compatible HDR pipeline that optimized the visualization experience on the device. This was not possible on vivo as they are using in-house solutions and their HDR rendering can only be seen on vivo's display."

Sorry, what?? So if a phone doesn't use a conventional HDR pipeline it gets heavily penalized? They never explain this, they didn't mention it in Vivo review and we're expected to trust their expertise. Their numbers don't mean anything. I know this isn't a topic of your last post, but you're the one who brought up these logical fallacies of appeal to authority for trusting dxomark, who were heavily criticized in various different android communities. They aren't a review company first, they're a consultation company - consulting other companies how to tune their camera algorithm. Huawei/Honor nicely follow their guidelines which help get a better dxomark score, not better quality.

"its your opinion in the end ... i may see it gorgeous and you see it slop"

I understand your point of view and you may like one photo or another, but you can't go against the facts. I posted another comment here which is waiting for moderation for some reason, so I'm going to repeat this part.

        https://fdn.gsmarena.com/imgroot/reviews/26/huawei-pura-90s-pro-max/camera/gsmarena_1403.jpg

Check the sofa or the floor/wall. Can you see the algorithm fail here? Parts of the textures look very harsh and oversharpened, but other parts are blurry. It's like the entire photo was taken at 2MP and then AI upscale was used, but it didn't do a consistent job on the entire photo. It's like AI was confused and didn't know what to do.

There's no subjective opinion here. There's nothing up to debate. The photo is riddled with issues, since the software algorithm obviously failed. This is one of the situations where it's obvious, it's an extreme case therefore easy to notice. But those who know what to look for can still see these issues in all the other photos.

adsubzero, 30 Jul 2026Of course this anonymous guy is delusional when he says something like "THESE photos are ... moreAlso we have to talk about the poor AI implementation. I have nothing against AI sharpening and denoise, but generative AI is cancer.
You can see it in the photo I posted in the previous comment, but even more so here in this native 4x shot.
              https://fdn.gsmarena.com/imgroot/reviews/26/huawei-pura-90s-pro-max/camera/gsmarena_1403.jpg

Check the sofa and the floor. Look at the AI fail here? Parts of the textures look crispy, even too much (I would say it's very harsh and oversharpened), but parts are blurry. It's like the entire photo was taken at 2MP and then AI upscale was used, but it didn't do a consistent job on the entire photo. It's like AI was confused and didn't know what to do. It happens way too often, they rely too much on it.

In the earlier days when the AI started to catch up you could see that more often. For example on Oppo X7 Ultra it would generally do a fine job with the sharpening, but at times it would be inconsistent. The face would be nicely sharpened but chin, hair and facial hair would be party blurry. You constantly see this in dxomark reviews too - face is usually sharpened nicely, but hair, clothing etc. looks bad (low res). They never mention or talk about it, which is one of my pet peeves. Where's the attention to detail? As they say, devil is in the details. Nuances. A professional organization shouldn't be vague.

I don't want to talk about those dxomark clowns, but when people keep holding it to such high standard and make the discussion revolve around it, this has to be said.

mobile phone 2, 29 Jul 2026its funny and so sad at the same time seeing you think that multible organizations a delusiona... moreOf course this anonymous guy is delusional when he says something like "THESE photos are the best in the industry."
Like really? Best in the industry? This is the best in the entire industry in the world:
                https://fdn.gsmarena.com/imgroot/reviews/26/huawei-pura-90s-pro-max/camera/gsmarena_1108.jpg

Yeah not sure what to tell you there bud, but you should get some glasses. These are pathetic results for a high end camera phone. This isn't a once in a time bad shot where the software makes a mistake, it happens ALL THE TIME. There is a pattern here. This is oily AI slop with a ton of issues observable when you dig deep. You have aliasing (jagged lines), oversharpening and oversmoothing. You have unrealistic look with pixelated/harsh edges. Let me not repeat myself because this was talked ad nauseam. All you have to do is open the shot 1:1 and see the issues.

"its funny and so sad at the same time seeing you think that multible organizations a delusional"

What about the other multiple organizations/reviewers who think otherwise? Someone must be in the wrong there. Btw, outside of blanket statements like "this is a good camera", GSMArena doesn't consider Huawei to be among the top dogs of cameras, so don't mention them there. Or do you want to say GSMArena is delusional? They even have the last years "Ultra camera phone comparison", where Huawei is better compared to Samsung (and why wouldn't it be) but consistently gets beaten by Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi. But they always have something good to say about every phone, they obviously don't want to step on anyone's toes, and my conclusions can be a bit harsh. All depends how strong of a criteria you have. But my point still stands - Huawei not worthy to be among top dogs for the camera quality.

Also, dxomark has been slam dunked to ground numerous times for their bias and inconsistency. There's a reason why they disabled comments on their articles and constantly remove comments of criticism on their facebook posts. They boast about being professionals, and how they are "industry standard", which is ridiculous. Why they don't have consistent scenes where they take the photos with all phones so you can go back and compare? Because it's easier to manipulate this way. In their reviews why do they compare 3 random phones instead comparing to the currently best ranked phone (or at least include the best result for the phone which leads the category)? For example in the review for Oppo X9 Ultra in the color section they compare Oppo vs vs Apple iPhone 17 Pro for which they say "Visible blue cast affecting skintones". Wait a minute? Doesn't iPhone have perfect skintones? Wasn't it praised all the time in the iPhone review?
Also in other categories where they use the iPhone as a reference it consistently gets bad results with descriptions like "Apple iPhone 17 Pro โ€“ Warm cast, low level of details and visible noise", "Low level of detail", "Slight lower brightness overall, colder rendering", etc. it just goes on. How is it ranked so highly then? Why did they present it like it's nearly a perfect camera in their actual iPhone review? Maybe think for yourself and then you can see the problem with their reviews - when you don't have consistent scenes where you test everything in the same way so that it's comparable and reproducible, it's open to manipulation.

"after all of that ... i wonder who is delusional "

Yeah it's still the guy who considers this to be the best.

I can agree with Kirin's CPU optimization since even my old Mate 20 with Kirin 980 SoC can deliver crazy good SoT, even on mobile data only. It's not hard for me to reach between 7-9 hours of SoT under continuous use.

For Snapdragon-powered Huawei, I avoided the P50 Pro because of the terribly inefficient Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Obviously, you don't like my comparisons but, they are the facts for many years. Huawei has less than 4% market share for the last 8 years literally everywhere in the world except China. Brands live or die with the quality of their products. Huawei being sanctioned is not a privilege. Since they keep producing the worst smartphones in the market, the users reject them as they are. Since they are only good at cameras, why not shift the business to cameras? Maybe they do a better job than smartphones.

adsubzero, 28 Jul 2026I don't think looking at MSRP prices is relevant. Lets actually consider about what Huawe... moreWhat makes you think the processor is cheaper? Many Chinese commentators say the opposite. Yield is low from SMIC which means costs are high. A massive amount of R&D expenditure has to go into the chips to even reach this level. Huawei can't use Sony sensors due to the US restrictions so they are limited but I don't think smartsens is any worse than omnovision. Actually they produce their equivalent sized sensors on 22nm as opposed to 40nm for Omnivision and the sensors are more expensive. Look at Xiaomi for example. The Xiaomi 17 pro and pro max use 22nm Smartsens (same sensors as mate 80 pro but just not ryyb). The regular Xiaomi 17 uses the cheaper 40nm OV alternative. The smartsens sensor is definitely superior and is more expensive. The first one inch type Lofic sensor on the Pura 80 ultra was also from Smart sens. Still as I said this is more like the Huawei mate 70 pro+ successor and it's still cheaper than that. I still wouldn't get it for software reasons but for new models at 6499rmb (that's other pro models) it has the best camera hardware imo better than the Oppo find x9 pro, Vivo x300 pro and Xiaomi 17 pro max. Lofic main sensor and the best telephoto sensor among these three (reportedly the same as the Oppo find x9 ultra telephoto but just an ryyb version)
