The cameras are really below expectations. Probably no DCG in 3rd party apps yet again. Only Xiaomi 17 Ultra is praiseworthy upgrade of this year. Speakers are mediocre yet again, worse than the Xiaomi, again. Battery life barely matches that of the Xiaomi which has 1000mAh less. Sad.

you have the option to do that, if you don't do th... moreif a phone gives its 100% at the very start its going to heat up very quickly and drop to what it can sustain, here that is 40%
if you start with 60% right away you can keep that up for way longer than if you went to 100% right from the beginning
All of this obviously for heavy demanding stuff thats gonna go on for a long time, if you just open the phone for 5 minutes use however much power you want.

you have the option to do that, if you don't do that then the phone will throttle performance, something out of your control.
What exactly do you want? Max graphics/brightness and max performance all the time? not possible without a fan. Compromises must be done, cus physics. More power = heat.

1 / software are very very fast compare to google trash version
2 / very very usefull features are only chinese version can get but globally you are day dreaming to get those features
3 / very fast updates/upgrades
4 / very cheap prive compare to global price + you can get your smartphones with some extra stuff with that cheap price

Feeling Bad for my European friends.
This one costs just €938 in China for the variant with
12GB of RAM and 256gb storage.
The variant I plan to buy costs just €1065 (16Gb/512Gb), undercutting Google, Samsung, Apple and even Xiaomi or the upcoming Vivo.
Let's see if the pricing stays same in India too.
Now do you guys understand as to why people with options like those from India or China buy Chinese brands?
Stop bashing Chinese flasghips just because they are expensive in your country.

Anonymous, 21 Apr 2026Thank you for this review, now i go to oppo website and cancel my order. Yes. Good decision. I am so amazed. This xiaomi 17U, vivox300U, and this one. Always MUST be something wrong !!! Always 99% of good things and 1% of flaws which are quite serious !!! Sad!

man ..... look how sharp those pictures
even a around 700 meters shops panels are readable
even none focusd objects details can be seen .... i am impressed
also about the night shots are very good, the sharpness can go down here to 95 % since it a night shot .... dont get me wrong but 95 % is very very excellent performer
and about the video, excellent colors and excellent microphone but i need a full video with walking and running to complete the whole review
from my side i will give it 4.75 points only till we see that video

It's hilarious how OPPO managed to make the worst Hi-Res mode ever on the X9U as their 25MP on the X7U was impeccable
