Can someone explain why 3x 200MP 1/1.28" looks so artificial and upscaled at 6x? I mean in X300U way smaller 1/1.4" 200MP shows way better photos at 6x and more zoom. Also 10X is actually 12MP at best, just compare 12MP and 50MP it doesn't show any additional details at 50MP compared to 12MP which is really weird
Personally I would just wait until their next flagship comes out. X9 Ultra won't be released where I live, and apart from the 10x lens, the results don't look too dissimilar to what I would get on Find X8 Ultra. Given the huge price hike as well as the fact that I already have Find X9 Pro with me as well, it simply wouldn't make any sense for me to get this one.
The rumours say that Oppo will put a much larger type 1/2 sensor for the "long" telephoto and LOFIC-capable sensors for the primary "short" telephoto cameras on Find X10 Ultra. I'll keep an eye on what Oppo brings to the table next year, they are so close to nailing everything.

Those are h... more50MP shots from my Find X9 Pro/Find X8 Ultra's RAW MAX mode are fantastic in terms of how they render details. The main and the telephoto cameras are a bit low on microcontrast, but resolution-wise, they are very good and allow for a lot of cropping before revealing any imperfections.
With that said, those from the UWA camera would be best resized to 25MP or lower since the lens simply isn't sharp enough for 50MP corner to corner.

Those are hacks for marketing purposes. These sensors are optimized to output 12mp image, everything else is a hack. Truth is automated postprocessing got better so 24mp images look very decent tricking you into believing that sensor shoots 24mp and that with 12mp you get some additional detail due to oversampling or something.
This phone with a 8000 mAh or bigger battery would be out of any league of competition

Not quite an 1/1.28 Sensor at 10x
Due to poor video quality reviews for the Oppo Find X9 Ultra on GSM Arena, I ordered the Vivo X 300 Ultra on China ROM. Videos are the most important thing to me. I have the Oppo Find X7 Ultra China ROM and the Oppo Find X5 Pro Global ROM. The global Oppo Find X5 Pro worked perfectly while the Oppo Find X7 Ultra had major problems with notifications and only with later updates did the situation become a little more bearable.
I still don't get the point of "high resolution" mode when it's not a scaling ratio from the original sensor. 12 or 12.5mp make sense cause they're a 4:1 or 16:1 integer scale from 50 and 200mp sensors. Apple's bizarre 24 and this 28 are what... antialiasing passes at best and weird AI upscaling at worst?

Phones got processing power to squeeze details out of 200mp multibayer, but not from 64mp quad bayer? I do wonder.
My major concern was how pixelated and how much detail is lost when using that lower resolution, and as with 200mp, it always visible that having less pixels is good only for colors, yet, the hit on detail was harder than minor color improvement.
Lol, how small are 200mp pixels, its not all about pixel size.
I'm just saying I have seen what 2x crop, basic detail at low res and hi res quality from 64mp and 50mp looks like, despite 64mp having smaller pixels and more of them, its always on top if I dont dig into colors...
Wondering How it will perform when it is being used for making high 4k videos for long videos.

I think you are mixing up size of pixels with how they handle the amount of light. Bigger pixels suffer from less noise and are better at gathering more light per pixel so better in low light conditions.
I wonder if they did something similar to Pura 80 Ultra and made 10x in sensor zoom and called it optical because photos from 10x definitely don't look nowhere 50mp or even 20mp, 12mp at best

Because the "less" pixels you have - the larger you can make them (which is the MOST important part on a smartphone sensor). A 24/48MP sensor is way better that 64MP bs you're talking about. What do you want to bin 64MP into? 16/32MP? lol.
Also smartphone optics can't resolve even half of that resolution realistically. Even 200MP sensors can't resolve more than 25-30MP and that's with 4-in-1 binning.
I just realized a mistake every brand does or they did, which is, they use 50mp sensors instead of 64mp ones, despite samples from that 64mp sensor looking way better, even older honor mid range shot from 64mp looks sharp, despite honor not being the best in processing... even 2x crop from such tele sensors were looking good.
Sharp in 64mp, sharp in 16mp.
Unlike 12mp or 50mp from 50mp sensors.
Quite interesting.
let them cook , its still the release software
