Good review with one flaw. You forget to make public the video samples. The link you gave is just for main cam (not playlist) and I cant find the other videos in your channel

Alex, 22 Apr 2026What a bunch of liars, since when the speakers on the S26 Ultra are better than Magic8 Pro.With sound it can be down to personal preference rather thn being "a liar". Read multiple high end audio reviews of speakers for this

They could have gone with a 28mm primary camera lens. As of now, Vivo has same size sensor but is 35mm field of view. Xiaomi has the same 23mm focal length but has a 1in sensor. Right now, it seems neither here nor there. They also could have attracted all the 28mm fans in the world.
Telephoto quality is excellent. Waiting for raw samples from someone in dpreview forums because x8 ultra RAWs were staggeringly good, even the 50mp ones from telephoto. I have found Oppo to have generally better stock camera raws than Vivo, Xiaomi and expect the same here.

introduce performance modes and vary the clocks by mode. Problem solved.

No contest to the Oppo This doesn't change the fact that before X9 Ultra last phone with 10X optical was S23U so before eating marketing bs and jumping into conclusion isn't it better to have a comparison to understand how better is it?

That is worse in every way possible. All about AI crap and mostly downgrades. Even the much hyped privacy display have more downsides than upside and its been eons since they have ultra cameras at their end. Unfortunately when it comes US, we have only iphone, samsung and google and all have their downsides.

Why not have 3 settings, 1 with nerfed clocks (underclocked), 1 with "optimised by manufacturer" clocks and a gaming mode or something? That way everyone gets to enjoy modes.
As is now, I like Oppo's current method better, nothing's worse than editing an image and it taking longer.
And again, if you use graphically demanding tasks, just lower the performance settings, and the demand from the soc will be lower so you wont get more heat, thus stability will be good. I dont get what your point is at all.
