A lot of the x10 shots he said were better on the vivo were clearly much better on the Oppo, that's a fact and everybody can see it.
I prefer vivo's colour science and HDR rendition, but that doesn't take away from the fact that I enjoy a fair comparison. In that video comparison he was not being 100% impartial.
Still, it doesn't matter because he states Oppo is the better package, which is true considering ColorOS is more polished and battery is bigger.

But I was surprised by size of the primary camera module. It is almost same size as the one in x300 ultra. I think it maybe because the Oppo is a 1.5 whereas Vivo is 1.9.
So, there might still be hope.

Maybe the vivo was indeed better and you're the dishonest and biased fella. See how that can happen?
It's just all down to personal preferences, every camera has flaws, you just choose which cameras pros are so good that you're willing to ignore flaws or which cam has flaws that can be ignored. That's it.

Xiaomi has 1 inch sensor and that complicated zoom ... morethis phone has a telephoto that is as big as the X300 Ultra's UW cam, do you understand how much more space a telephoto cam takes over a main or UW cam? The telephoto takes up more space than the UW cam and the telephoto cam of the X300 Ultra and the 10x one is closer to the space taken up by the UW cam of the X300 Ultra.
You can watch WekiHome's teardown to verify if what im saying is true.
By your logic they should just stick in 4 1 inch sensors and 10k mah battery. Cus why not go all in?

Vivo has 35mm module and way bigger ultrawide.
Granted, this has bigger and an extra telephoto. But just go bonkers. It's an ultra anyway.

But I've also watched the video comparison and I'm just pointing out that a lot of his picks of vivo's pictures over the Oppo's are not very honest, at least in said comparison. In the end it doesn't matter though because he states Oppo is the better overall package, all things considered.

You can eq the magic8pro to sound like the s26u but you cant do the opposite. Saying the s26u is better is like saying a bmw is better than a rolls royce (in terms of comfort, let's say). That's just not it.

i disagreed with him for the most part. But the phones are so close i'd say it can boil down to personal preference in the end and there's nothing wrong with that.
I do hope Oppo fixes the video, it's abysmal compared to the x300 ultra which is better than iphone now i'd say. With a month of updates these 2 phones would be monstrous i assure you.

In X9U I don't like the sensor mismatch, each one produces a different texture, tonal curve, color and resolution. I don't like the excessive use of AI processing, the images feature more NR and sharpness applied in contrast to more natural processing.
All in all, I like my X8U images better with it's good sensor trio: LYT 900, LYT 700, LYT 600.
