Google Pixel 11a specs leak

A fairly reputable leakster has dropped some alleged specs for Google's new "a-series" device, and if true, it might just be the best one to come out in years. There is at least one big surprise in there that we frankly didn't expect – the chipset.

When Google dropped the Pixel 10a in March 2026, one of the biggest complaints most prospective buyers had was the chipset. Google decided to stick with last year's Tensor G4 chipset, which is just one of the aspects that made the 10a a bit too similar to the Pixel 9a. Well, if these new rumors are true, the Pixel 11a might actually come packing the latest and greatest Tensor G6 chipset. Thanks to some Pixel 11 leaks, we already know a bit about said chip, and it looks pretty impressive. So much so, in fact, that it might turn out to be the first official 2nm chip to hit the market. On the main Pixel 11 family, that is, which is being unveiled on August 12. The Pixel 11a is still quite a few months away by all accounts. We can probably expect some time in March 2027.

Anyway, Mystic Leaks also shares a few other suggested Pixel 11a specs. The device apparently has the "Formosan" internal codename. It is expected to pack a 6.30 inch, 1080p display with a peak max brightness of 2,250 nits and a peak of 3,350, plus official HDR support, to go along with that. The Pixel 11a will probably stick to 8GB of RAM as a base, and the phone's alleged "minimum battery capacity" is 4,870 mAh. That wording is potentially confusing, but for what it's worth, most batteries do indeed have a minimum rated capacity among their other specs, but that number is rarely the one that gets advertised to users. So, likely, the Pixel 11a will either stick to the same 5,100 mAh typical capacity cell as the Pixel 10a or, at worst, downgrade the rating to, say, 5,000 mAh. At least that's our best guess.

As we mentioned, the Pixel 11a might just be rocking the Tensor G6 chipset, but more likely, it will be a slightly downgraded version of it. Probably a lower bin. While that will take away some from its raw performance, its other aspects, like the suggested new MediaTek M90 modem, will still be there. Rumors also claim that the Pixel 11a will use the same Titan M3 security chip as the rest of the Pixel 11 family.

Another leakster has suggested a new front camera for the Pixel 11a. Though, unfortunately, we don't have any details on it yet, other than an alleged codename - "dokkaebi." And finally, the suggested color options for the Pixel 11a include black, green, purple and silver.
