The Sony Xperia 1 VIII is now on pre-order in Europe with a free pair of WH-1000XM6
The Sony Xperia 1 VIII was announced bright and early in the morning and – in typical Sony fashion – the new model won’t actually ship until mid-June. That’s later than the Mark 7 and the Mark 6, which were announced in mid-May and released in early June. But if you have your heart set on it, you can pre-order one today.
The Xperia 1 VIII is available on Amazon UK and Amazon Germany – links below – and will go up on pre-order in other regions as well. For any North American readers seeing this, sorry, this doesn’t include that part of the world.
The good news is that Sony is including a free pair of WH-1000XM6, which are some of the best over-ear ANC headphones that we’ve ever tested. These have an MSRP of €450 / £400, so it’s a pretty good deal (note that you can have them with around a 15% discount, but getting them for free is still a good deal).

Amazon only has the base 12GB/256GB model. The top-specced 16GB/1TB version will be sold exclusively at Sony stores, so don’t expect to see it elsewhere. Outside of Europe, third-party retailers will also carry the 12GB/512GB and 16GB/512GB variants, though. Whichever model you get, you can add as much storage as you want via the oh-so-rare microSD slot. The phone is available in Graphite Black, Iolite Silver and Garnet Red.

It will not change much. Phone storage capacity mas always is very limited use external hard dis or USB to OTG for said potable harddrive i have 5TB one and 2TB one. SD cards are expensive slow and easy to breaks.

Would've been a goto phone if they upgraded it to SD Express Cards not having to for hours tranferring large or multiple files with it's current old slow sd card trransfer rate.
