For me, who has been a fan for many years of the latest Japanese mobile brand in Europe, I am delighted with this news. I am still waiting to be able to buy the 1 VII in orchid purple when the winds pick up again in the coming weeks. The 10 VII should also be announced in the fall.
For next year, however, I have big fears that they are only sold in Asia. I hope they will at least be available through the official Sony website in Europe.

No innovation? Really? You didn't know anything new on the Sony smartphone? For example people keep on forgetting bypass charging was introduced by Sony but other brand get praised when using it.

They barely keep up with £800 phones th... moreYes this exactly, In my country their phones are more expensive than the largest storage sized flagship phones from Google and Samsung. On top of that we take a risk because we don't get a warranty or support since Sony pulled out of our market many years ago already. If they really are going third party manufacturers in the future maybe they can price their phones lower which might make more people consider buying them.
