Sony’s upcoming Xperia 1 VIII appeared in a set of case renders last week, showcasing a boldly redesigned camera island and a punch-hole cutout display. Well, we now have an updated computer-aided design (CAD) look at the next Xperia flagship, which once again confirms the previously leaked design.
This is the second source showcasing a square-shaped camera island housing three camera sensors. The design is reminiscent of the OnePlus 10 Pro, though we should once again remember that these are merely renders and not the phone’s final design. Then again, this is the second source showing said back design.
The new batch of renders also shows the front side of the device with the usual-sized bezels and front-facing camera integrated into the top part, and stereo speakers. This is a departure from the previous renders, which showcased a punch-hole cutout.
Xperia 1 VIII may bring a familiar look up front
According to the latest rumors, Xperia 1 VIII will bring an updated triple camera setup consisting of 48MP sensors. The ultrawide one will be the same as on the Xperia 1 VII, but the main and telephoto modules are said to bring updates. We’re expecting a larger main shooter alongside a new telephoto sensor in the 1/3" to 1/2" size range.
Their sensors that others use are the best but their results have not been best for a long time
Agly design!! I was big fan of Sony phones but don't like the cameras new design, old design was decent & iconic!
Dawg, it's a camera island. You look at the *front* of the phone. If you are really buying Xperia as a fashion accessory, then don't buy it I guess, but this is so superficial.
