Transit agencies have the ideas. This fund helps make them real. Proud to partner with Spare to support agencies testing and implementing innovative on-demand solutions, from first/last mile connections to late-night service and paratransit enhancements. If you’re attending #APTAMobility, stop by the Uber Transit and Spare booths to learn more.
Transit agencies are full of people who know exactly what their network needs. The hard part is getting the resources to prove it. The Uber Transit Innovation Fund is built for that moment. Up to $50,000 per agency to run a real on-demand pilot, with actual riders, actual data, and outcomes you can take back to your board and community. As an Uber Transit partner, Spare works alongside agencies who are ready to take that next step. Whether it's late-night coverage, a first/last mile connection, or a paratransit complement. This is the chance to turn a strong idea into a proven service. Twenty or more agencies will be selected across the US. Priority consideration closes June 30, 2026. https://ubr.to/4nsEH9P Heading to APTA Mobility? Come find us at the Spare and Uber booths — we'd love to hear what your agency has been building toward.

We’re investing $1 million in public transit innovation. Through the Uber Transit Innovation Fund, we’re awarding up to $50,000 in funding to 20 or more transit agencies, municipalities, and regional authorities across the US to help them pilot scalable on-demand mobility solutions, test new service models, and generate real-world data. According to Chris Margaronis, Head of Uber Transit: "The [Uber Transit Innovation Fund] offers agencies a responsible way to test better solutions without putting their core budgets at risk. We are providing a platform for small pilots, real data, shared investment, and measurable outcomes. Riders don’t experience innovation as risk, they experience it as freedom." Are you an agency with a pilot idea for a program that could benefit your community, drive meaningful impact, and expand the reach of your services? Now’s your chance to make it happen. Key requirements: 💡 Prospective and existing Uber Transit partners are encouraged to apply; existing partners are eligible if funds will be used to launch a net-new program or use case. 💡 Matching funds are required. Applicants must provide 10% of the award amount in matching funds. 💡Funding must be fully used by December 31, 2026. 💡Apply by June 30, 2026 for priority consideration. Access and independence go hand in hand. We’re proud to support Pace Suburban Bus's Rideshare Access Program (RAP). Designed for ADA paratransit riders in Pace's 6-county region in Northeastern Illinois, RAP provides subsidized, on-demand, same-day transportation using Uber Vouchers. Since launching in March 2024, Pace has delivered 2.9 million subsidized Uber rides for its riders. 🚗 The impact? Independence. The freedom to travel on one’s own schedule. And the ability to reclaim time for what matters most. 🌟 Pace rider Horacio's commute used to take 90 exhausting minutes each way. Now, he gets to work faster—and home to his family sooner.
