  • 🌍 Your gut health matters. On #WorldDigestiveHealthDay, we join the global call to raise awareness about digestive health and the importance of early recognition of symptoms. This year’s theme, “Chronic Diarrhea: Don’t Flush the Signs Away,” encourages open conversations and timely action. At IMMEDIATE, we explore how diet, the gut microbiome, metabolites, and the immune system interact to influence chronic inflammation and long-term health. Understanding these connections is key to developing more personalised prevention strategies and improving well-being. Learn more about what we do 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e6j7mbSh

Big news from The Akkermansia Company! 🌍 Our newly published clinical study in Nature Medicine proves that pasteurized Akkermansia muciniphila MucT® supports weight loss maintenance—solving the notorious "yo-yo" effect that follows successful dieting. 🔬 The Study: "Pasteurized Akkermansia muciniphila MucT for weight loss maintenance in people with overweight and obesity: a controlled randomized trial" (ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT05417360). 👥 The Cohort: 90 adults with overweight or obesity who underwent an 8-week low-energy diet (achieving ≥8% weight loss), followed by a 24-week ad libitum weight-maintenance phase. The data speaks for itself: 👉 1.2 kg vs 3.2 kg: Average weight regain over 24 weeks for the MucT® group vs. placebo. 👉 40% of participants in the MucT® group continued losing weight during the maintenance phase. 👉 Improved metabolic health: Enhanced insulin sensitivity and reduced fat-tissue inflammation. 👉 Excellent safety profile: Zero product-related side effects were reported throughout the trial. From our Belgian roots in 2021 to our rapidly expanding presence in Europe, North America, and Asia, we are proud to lead the charge in science-backed microbiome solutions. On World Clinical Trials Day, I would like to recognize the importance of clinical research in shaping the future of healthcare and improving patients’ lives I’m truly happy and proud to be part of the IMMEDIATE EU Project team together with Pomeranian Medical University and Sanprobi represent and contribute to research exploring the connections between the gut microbiome, stress resilience, mental well-being, and metabolic health One of the most inspiring aspects of this journey has been seeing innovative scientific concepts develop into a real clinical study involving healthcare professionals and microbiome-based interventions. Progress in medicine depends on collaboration, curiosity, and the willingness to explore new ideas and I’m grateful to work alongside such a dedicated international team
