CODEPINK is a women-led grassroots organization working to end US wars and militarism, support peace and human rights.
About us
CODEPINK is a gender-inclusive, women-led grassroots organization working to end U.S. wars and militarism, support peace and human rights initiatives, and redirect our tax dollars into healthcare, education, green jobs and other life-affirming programs. Founded in fall 2002 as a grassroots effort to prevent the US war on Iraq, we continue to organize for justice for Iraqis and to hold war criminals accountable. We actively oppose the continuing U.S. war in Afghanistan, torture, the detention center at Guantanamo, weaponized and spy drones, the prosecution of whistleblowers, U.S. support for the Israeli occupation of Palestine and repressive regimes. Rooted in a network of local organizers, online supporters and generous donors, with an emphasis on joy and humor, our tactics include satire, street theatre, creative visuals, civil resistance, and directly challenging powerful decision-makers in government and corporations. And of course, wearing pink!

Israel has become one of the world’s largest arms exporters, selling everything from drones and missile systems to surveillance technology. At the same time, governments that publicly express concern over civilian suffering continue purchasing Israeli military equipment. As long as governments keep buying these weapons, and as long as the United States continues funding and arming Israel, the deadly business model behind endless war will continue to thrive.

VAXIRA is a theraputic lung cancer vaccine that works to help the immune system to destroy cancer cells. It has already shown major improvements in survival rates for lung cancer patients. The US blockade bans people in the US from accessing the vaccine. In 2011, Cuba developed CIMAvax-EGF the world’s first and only approved lung cancer vaccine. More than 5,000 people across the world have been treated with the vaccine. It costs just $1 to manufacture. Thanks to Cuba’s free, universal healthcare system and medical advances like lung cancer vaccines, lung cancer survival rates are 85% in provinces in Cuba. n the United States, they are just 29%, because lung cancer treatment costs $200,000-$400,000+ where accessible. After 66 years under U.S. blockade, Cuba continues to make health breakthroughs that benefit the world. This principle of putting people before profit is why Cuba faces U.S. attack. CUBA SÍ BLOQUEO NO
