I recently had many conversations on the future of HR and if AI is there to replace it. We already see how AI can simplify the day-to-day of HR leaders and support with deeper insight in people analytics. Before we worry too much about AI though, I think a lot of organizations still need to realize the strategic value of people practices - they make or break an organization, they are one of THE single biggest levers to reach your impact goals. In a conversation with Lenke Taylor, CPO of Personio, we reflected on how to build great people practices and leverage Human Resources to reach the goals of an organization - to me, it was truly inspiring to learn how Lenke thinks about the strategic value of HR. Navigating Uncertainty: How Non-Profit Executive Search Is Evolving in 2025 As seen in Hunt Scanlon Media's just released Non-Profit Recruiting newsletter, recruiters have noticed a slow-down in executive hiring since January, with many non-profits deciding to hold on hiring in an environment of financial uncertainty. “Strategy, innovation, flexibility, business acumen – including risk management- and fundraising are skills that critical skills in the current environment,” said Molly Brennan, global managing partner and practice leader, non-profit and social impact at DSG | Koya. “Leaders must be able to quickly develop and implement strategies in response to external factors, and then able to pivot when those circumstances change. Could remote or hybrid work be the key to retaining great fundraisers? This article raises an important question for nonprofit leaders: Are we adapting fast enough to how fundraisers actually want to work? According to recent data from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, 75% of fundraising professionals are women and research from Harvard Business Review shows women ages 18–45 are most likely to leave roles that don’t offer remote or hybrid flexibility. For many nonprofits, that means flexibility could be a recruitment advantage, not a risk. Studies show hybrid fundraisers stay longer, build stronger donor relationships, and perform just as well (if not better) than those tied to the office. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eAxNtHM9 I’d love to hear from others in the nonprofit sector: ➡️ Do you currently have remote or hybrid roles in your fundraising team? ➡️ Would you consider it as a way to attract or retain talent? #NonprofitLeadership #FundraisingStrategy #HybridWork #NonprofitSector #ECCInsights
