💬 “We just don’t have the budget to hire right now.” I'm hearing this from CEOs and hiring managers all the time. But leaving a key role empty can cost far more than filling it. Take a Major Donor Fundraiser as an example. A good fundraiser can bring in anywhere from £400,000 to £800,000 a year. That’s roughly £30,000–£65,000 a month in potential income. If that post stays vacant for three months, you could be missing out on £90,000–£195,000, and that’s before you even think about the relationships that go quiet or the opportunities that slip through the cracks. So when you say, “we can’t afford a recruitment fee right now”, can you really afford not to? Recruitment isn't an expense, it's an investment.
