Jay Dettling liked thisJay Dettling liked thisMany enterprises are stuck in an AI execution gap. Everyone has pilots and very few have AI at scale. The roadblock is operational. This is a common path many take: 1. Launch dozens of pilots 2. Optimize for experimentation, not integration 3. Skip defining what “ready to scale” actually means The result: AI ends up fragmented. You have a collection of interesting tools without cross-business impact. Our team initiated a different approach: 1. A structured lifecycle (idea → POC → pilot → scale) 2. Governance and people leadership that enables innovation, not slows it down 3. AI champions built in front the start 4. Clear signals that determine when something earns the right to scale Remembering that scaling technology is earned, and not presumed, has kept us on a sustainable adoption path. I enjoyed the chance to discuss this and more with Angad Grewal, Mari Cross, Swetal Desai, Lavina Pinto, and Cathal McCarthy at SuccessLab’s Executive Forum. Where are you feeling stuck in your AI journey? There are many pieces to the puzzle beyond operational models, depending on what phase you're in.

What happens to business travel when the primary objective isn’t cost reduction but patient outcomes? In the first episode of the Corporate Insights Podcast, Steve S., Global Head of Travel, Meetings & Events at Gilead Sciences, discusses a fundamentally different approach to managing corporate travel. For Sitto and his team, travel isn’t primarily about cost control or streamlining logistics. Instead, it’s about enabling access: making sure doctors reach their patients, and patients get timely access to medical treatments. Speaking with Will Pinnell (SVP, HRS), Sitto describes how a clear mission transforms the entire approach to travel management. Compliance, for instance, isn’t treated as a bureaucratic checklist; it becomes meaningful only when people are genuinely involved in creating it and see its purpose. Sitto also speaks openly about the role of mental health in modern leadership. For him, addressing employee well-being is no longer a side issue but a core responsibility for anyone managing travel in today’s high-pressure environment. The conversation offers a rare, practical look at the realities of running a global travel program within a highly regulated pharmaceutical company. Sitto shares candid insights into what truly works—and what often still falls short in travel management today. “Go big or go home.” I couldn’t agree more, Kunal Sethi! Kunal and I had a fantastic conversation at Workday Rising about what it takes to transform the way we work with AI. His team at Medtronic has 200 agentic AI use cases in motion, and they’ve set an ambitious goal to have 80% of their HR processes AI-enabled in the next three years. Here are three learnings from Medtronic’s journey: 🌟 Look for the interconnectivity. Instead of implementing one-off solutions, think about how AI can connect entire processes. For example, Kunal talked about how an AI agent can support the entire performance management cycle: nudging employees to set their goals, pulling in data such as accomplishments and feedback, and alerting managers when it’s time to review. The real power isn’t about improving one small step, but transforming the journey. 🌟 Build east-west relationships. Bring stakeholders from across the enterprise together to share your vision for AI. Using tangible examples, demonstrate the value AI can deliver for each function, and show how that value can either be reinvested in things they weren’t able to do or given back to the business. 🌟 Keep humans in the loop. Create a clear vision for how humans and agents will work side-by-side, communicate often about what you’re trying to accomplish, and articulate the opportunity for agents to elevate the entire talent life cycle. It’s always inspiring to hear from our customers about how they’re innovating with technology to drive performance and create a great experience for their people. Thank you, Kunal! #WDAYRising

Sharing important insights from, Laura Coccaro, our chief people officer, on a challenge I believe many HR leaders are navigating today: making the strategic value of TA seen and understood across the organization. In a piece from Paige McGlauflin of HR Brew, Laura shared findings from our latest iCIMS Insights research, which explores the disconnect—and opportunity—between CHROs and CIOs when it comes to AI, technology, and the future of work. 🗝️ One key takeaway: When HR and IT align intentionally, they accelerate innovation, elevate TA, and make better technology decisions that drive real business impact. 📖 Read the full article here: https://okt.to/LeG6p2

In just the last few days, I’ve met with a CFO, CIO, CHRO, and CPO of Fortune 500 companies. Each conversation, though different, led to the same underlying theme: we are in the middle of a profound transformation in the relationship between humans and AI at work. Here are some takeaways I’ve been thinking about: We’re entering a 3-way phenomenon that will define the future of employees and their organizations: 1. The Quiet Quitters 2.0 Some employees will quietly detach, doing the minimum at work while simultaneously exploring wild, creative AI-driven side projects outside the scope of their jobs. 2. The Stagnant Majority Others will stay still, waiting for their employers to either push them to evolve or eventually phase them out. 3. The Reinventors There are those who will sense the shift, embrace it, and reinvent themselves, becoming the upgraded version of who they are: AI-augmented, future-ready, and full of new superpowers. I’m so excited that we at Gloat are leading the way in helping companies and individuals embrace this third path. Such an interesting and important problem to solve. Empowering people to transform, not just survive, may be one of the most important challenges of the AI era. ❤️

This is one of the best panels I have had the privilege of attending, and now you can watch it too. I know I'm biased, but here's why it's worth your time... This panel tackles the impact of AI in Human Capital Management, which sounds too big to digest, but let me share with you some practical advice about how to get started, all taken from this panel's discussion: 🚀 Start small with a clear purpose. As Dr Ashwin Mehta MBA FLPI emphasized, "Do we have a problem that we're trying to solve and is the solution to that problem Artificial Intelligence? It might not be." Focus on identifying what you're trying to achieve first. 🔍 Focus on education and governance. Jivko Kirov from HP highlighted, "Focus on education. You need to get the basics. People need to understand: what is AI? What is genAI?" David Chestnut echoed this: "Educate. We've got to demystify this for people. What is it? What does it do? It's not a magic wand." 🧠 Consider starting with instructional design. Adriana Lange from Verizon shared, "If you're not using it already, instructional design is a great place to start. It allows your instructional design teams to deliver certainly faster and maybe better than they were doing before." 👥 Think about data privacy and ethics. Maria Taylor explained that at United Airlines, "Currently we're not using any external open systems. Everything's internal," highlighting the importance of cybersecurity and technology security considerations. 💡 Use AI for personalization at scale. Adriana shared how Verizon uses AI for role plays: "When you do a role play with AI, all of that information comes right back to you, and you can use it to continue to improve your programs." ✨ Look beyond the shiny new tools. Jivko Kirov cautioned, "Don't just jump in it before you have a clear strategy, an idea. You know, what are you trying to actually solve? Because there is a lot of new shiny toys around." As Mike Cooke wisely noted, "The organizations embracing AI today are reimagining what's possible in talent development." He also highlighted how AI and human talent are "catalysts in the greatest workforce transformation in history" happening at unprecedented speed. For anyone looking to navigate the AI transformation in their HR function, this session offers practical, actionable insights from those who are successfully leading the way. https://lnkd.in/e_a-GC8K #AI #HumanCapitalManagement #FutureOfWork #HRTech #HCMExcellence #Excellence25 Brandon Hall Group

As a trained psychologist, it is often difficult to unsee the intersections/relationships between technology + AI and all of the other industries that could really benefit from these additional tools. Here are a few thoughts for my technology and healthcare leaders: In the race for digital transformation, the trifecta of Technology, Healthcare, and Behavioral Health has a pivotal role to play. The advent of AI and Data Analytics is not just revolutionizing these sectors; it is setting a new standard. Consider this - McKinsey & Company projects that by 2025, AI could generate up to $100 billion annually in the healthcare segment. Concurrently, the rise of telehealth apps and digital behavioral tools continues to reshape the behavioral health landscape – a sector which the American Psychological Association predicts to be worth $240 billion by 2026. Transitioning toward a more digitized future presents C-suite executives with a dual-edged sword. On one side, there's the promise of enhanced efficiency and personalized patient care. On the other, there's the complex challenge of integrating these technical advancements into existing systems without sacrificing security or patient trust. The question is not whether technology will transform healthcare and behavioral health, but how quickly leaders can strategically adopt and adapt. As C-Suite Executives (CEOs, CFOs, CTOs), how can we ensure that technology becomes an enabler rather than a disruptor in our industries? One thing is sure, standing at the intersection of these sectors requires a delicate balance of technological prowess and human-centric design. But the rewards - improved patient care, greater operational efficiency, and meaningful insights - are well worth the effort. So, what steps is your organization taking to leverage these technological advancements while prioritizing patient-centric care? Let's continue the conversation. #DigitalHealth #TechInnovation #HealthcareLeadership #BehavioralHealth

Great news in digital health benefits 👇 Ayble Health just became the first digestive care solution available through Castlight Health’s platform, which is used by Fortune 500 employers and millions of employees. Why it matters: nearly 40% of Americans deal with digestive issues like IBS, IBD, or reflux, and these are some of the top drivers of medical costs and ER visits. Now, employees can access GI specialists, dietitians, and psychologists right through the Castlight app, with incentives that actually make it easier to stay engaged. #DigitalHealth #HealthcareInnovation #EmployeeBenefits #GIHealth #VirtualCare https://lnkd.in/ew2VUEMg

If you are looking for inspiration and ideas on how to bring Agentic AI to everyday HR processes, look no further than Kunal Sethi of Medtronic. I've had the pleasure of spending significant time with Kunal on our Customer Advisory Board, and he thinks deeply about understanding how Agentic AI can have direct impact on business processes across many functions, starting with HR. He has studied almost every platform and tool on the planet, and therefore, grasps nuances that are not obvious to many. Take for example his recent fireside chat from Workday's annual conference, Workday Rising. Kunal shares how HR leaders should think about end to end processes when it comes to delivering meaningful impact via AI agents. This is in sharp contrast to casual or shallow experimentation that most leaders tend to start with. Shallow experiments result in disappointing outcomes, which inevitably leads people to believe that Gen AI is not transformative. Instead, if you take an end to end view of processes, and work towards a sweeping set of AI agents use cases that can fully transform the process - you end up with meaningful outcomes, and more importantly - a template that you can apply across many functional areas and processes. We are proud to have a leader like Kunal on our Customer Advisory Board, and look forward to helping him transform Medtronic.
