Eric Elfman reposted thisEric Elfman reposted thisMeet Sophia. She's a real estate agent and a mom - juggling school drop-off, three showings, a client call from the parking lot, and a hundred things still on her list. 📋 Somewhere, in the middle of it all, something always slips through. What if there was a better version of her day? One where she could be fully present, both at home and at work. Watch the video below to find out how. 👇

Eric Elfman posted thisThe decision I sat with the longest at MoxiWorks was rebuilding the platform around AI as the core. I want to say something honest about that decision: it wasn't actually hard. It was obvious. What was hard was figuring out why it hadn't happened already. Everything we needed to make that call was already inside the company. The engineers knew the architecture was dated. The product people knew where we were losing customers. AI was reshaping every software category in real time, and we were still debating whether to bolt new features onto a foundation that needed to go. The case for RISE didn't require anything I brought from outside. It required someone to stop the debate and move. That's what I'm most honest with myself about when I look back. My contribution wasn't the idea. It wasn't some outside insight the company was missing. It was getting a team that already knew what needed to be done to stop hedging and actually start. That's it. Sometimes the most useful thing a leader does isn't bring something new. It's give the room permission to act on what it already knows. But calling it was the easy part. Funding it wasn't. Weeks after I joined, we did a reduction in force. Not because the people weren't good. Because we couldn't afford to transform the platform and keep the org the same size at the same time. That's an awful thing to do, especially that early, before you've built much trust with anyone. We also had to bring in new talent in areas where we had real gaps. Letting good people go and bringing new people in simultaneously, while asking everyone who stayed to build something none of us had built before. I didn't build RISE. The team did. I called the direction, made the hard calls to fund it, and tried to stay out of the way. That's the honest version.

Eric Elfman reposted thisEric Elfman reposted thisHeading to Otautahi Christchurch next week for LMG's Scale Up Conference. Always one of my favourite events — a chance to connect with brokers and advisers face-to-face and talk about what's actually helping them grow client relationships and stay front of mind, deal after deal. If you're attending, I'd love to connect. See you there!

Eric Elfman posted thisThe residential real estate market has been in a deep freeze the entire time I've been at MoxiWorks. Rates up, transaction volume down, brokerages squeezed, agents closing fewer deals. Everyone waiting for the turn. I understand why. People who've built careers in real estate have watched cycles come and go. The market comes back. That memory is earned. But I kept coming back to a question that made some people uncomfortable: what if the recovery doesn't actually solve our problem, because the market we're returning to is structurally different from the one we left? Transaction volume recovering doesn't fix the split economics squeezing brokerages. It doesn't rebuild the agent loyalty Compass and REAL have been quietly accumulating during the downturn. It doesn't make dated architecture suddenly competitive. A rising tide wasn't going to lift this particular boat the way it might have ten years ago. So we stopped building a plan that needed the market to bail us out. Not because we knew the recovery wasn't coming. We didn't. But a plan that only works in a good market isn't really a plan. RISE had to work in the market we were in. And work better in the market we were heading toward. The market will recover. When it does, I want to be competing on what we built during the freeze, not what we protected.

Eric Elfman liked thisEric Elfman liked thisWhat moments are you missing? I’ve been thinking about this question a lot lately — especially as we continue to evolve RISE. In real estate, we talk a lot about missed opportunities. The lead you didn’t follow up with. The past client you forgot to reconnect with. The signal buried in your database that could have turned into your next transaction. But what about the personal moments we miss because of the systems we use? Dinner with your family without checking your phone. Being fully present at your kid’s game instead of trying to remember who you need to follow up with. Taking a weekend off without wondering what might be slipping through the cracks. Or simply having more time to focus on relationships instead of managing technology. Technology should give us time back — not create more work. So, I’m curious: What moments are ineffective systems causing you to miss — professionally or personally?Meet Sophia. Eric Elfman reacted on thisEric Elfman reacted on thisPune's Ruby community came together at MoxiWorks. 💎 This Saturday, we hosted our first community meetup at MoxiWorks Pune, and honestly, it was great to see the room full of developers, Rubyists, and tech enthusiasts. We had some really interesting talks around Ruby, Rails, AI, and more, along with plenty of conversations, networking, and a lot of knowledge sharing. What I enjoyed the most was seeing how easily everyone connected and the warmth with which the Moxi team welcomed everyone. A big thank you to all our speakers and everyone who joined us and made the morning so much fun. 🙌 A special shoutout to Jyotsna, Piyush, Lovina, Gaurav, Shubham, and Payal for all the work and support behind the scenes that helped make this happen. Also, thank you to Ben Spera, Michael Messig and Joe Hatfield for all the support and encouragement as we continue building stronger connections with the Ruby community in India. ❤️ Already looking forward to the next one! 💎🚀 #Ruby #RubyOnRails #RubyCommunity #Pune #AI #TechMeetup #MoxiWorks #PropTech #Software #Product

Eric Elfman reacted on thisI’m incredibly excited to share that I’m joining MoxiWorks as SVP of Sales, leading our global sales organization. I’ve spent the majority of my career in real estate and proptech, and after seeing RISE, it became clear that MoxiWorks is at a pivotal moment. This is a massive transformation for the company, built on a foundation that has been helping the industry’s best agents and brokerages win more listings, strengthen client relationships, and grow their businesses for years. What excites me about RISE is where we’re taking that foundation next: a modern, flexible platform designed to work within the broader brokerage ecosystem and adapt to how real estate is done across global markets. I’ve also been blown away by the collaborative culture at MoxiWorks and the trust Eric Elfman puts in his leaders and teams. I’m fortunate to be joining some people I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside before, while getting to know an incredible group of new teammates. I can’t wait to learn from them and build together. I’ll be at Blueprint, the RISMedia CEO & Leadership Exchange, and the LeadingRE Global Symposium. If you’ll be there, I’d love to catch up and talk about what we’re building. A huge opportunity ahead. Let’s go!Eric Elfman reacted on thisExcited to share some big news from the MoxiWorks team: MoxiWorks has named Shaun Harkley as Senior Vice President of Sales! Eric Kronman, Partner at Fluet and Venture Partner at Riverbend Capital, shares valuable insights on the CSUITE EDGE Podcast with John Light. Many believe they don't handle government contracts, but in reality, they're vendors or subcontractors supporting someone else—making them de facto contractors with compliance issues. This has been a really fun event. When TypeLaw first started (in 2014) we took a look at the attorneys in California with the most briefs filed that year. We quickly learned that the attorneys who file the most briefs in California are a special group of lawyers that represent indigent defendants in the crimanal appeals process. At the trial level defendants receive counsel as a constitutional right. Usually a public defender in the case of an indigent defendant. But at the appellate level there are no such guarantees. California goes above and beyond constitutional minimums and funds (if barely) a panel of about 700 appellate attorneys that handle indigent criminal appellate defense work. The work is unglamorous, voluminous, and pays a fraction of what most private attorney make. But it some of the most important, consequential work lawyers can provide. I have so much respect for these lawyers and I’m really proud of the work we do to support them.

ClearVault's AI Contract Review isn't a chatbot. It's a compliance engine trained on California construction law. Here's what it catches in seconds that would take a paralegal hours: Retention clauses that exceed the SB 61 cap Payment timelines that conflict with SB 440 requirements Missing flow-down provisions that void contractor protections Ambiguous scope definitions that create dispute risk Non-compliant notice requirements for preliminary liens We built this because we saw too many contractors sign contracts that unknowingly waived their own protections. Your contract is only as strong as your ability to enforce it. Make sure it's compliant before ink hits paper. https://lnkd.in/gpSrfZT6 #AIinConstruction #ContractReview #LegalTech #CaliforniaConstructionLaw
