Martins Scholarship honors The Executive Leadership Council’s first President and CEO and a founding member, whose leadership helped shape the organization’s mission and long-term impact. This scholarship supports high-achieving male students pursuing degrees in business, management, or related fields who demonstrate strong leadership potential and a commitment to excellence. Open to students enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university, this award recognizes emerging leaders who are driven to lead with purpose, contribute meaningfully to organizations, and create lasting value in their communities. Scholarship awardees will receive a two-year, need-based scholarship in the amount of $10,000 per year to assist with educational expenses for the upcoming academic year(s). Early in my career, I thought leadership was about having the right answers.   I was ambitious, driven, and honestly believed if I just worked hard enough and performed at a high level, the rest would take care of itself. What I didn't fully understand yet was that leading requires something different. It requires self-awareness. It requires the ability to read a room, build trust, and navigate new spaces.   Those lessons didn't come easy. Some of them came from mentors who were generous enough to tell me the truth. Some came from stumbling through moments I wasn't prepared for. And some came from finally being in rooms where people invested in my growth not just as a professional, but as a leader.   That's exactly why I'm so proud of what we've built with The ELC Leadership Pathways.   This is about giving early- to mid-career professionals the real tools, frameworks, and networks they need to lead at the highest levels.
