The wait is over: Bolt’s SuperApp is here. To top it off, we’re also launching a Completely Game-Changing new pricing model for payment processing. That’s right, TWO major launches, one day. The payments industry will never be the same… First, the SuperApp. Instead of juggling five different apps for crypto, payments, rewards, and tracking, Bolt brings it all into one Lightning-Fast experience with supercharged rewards. You can manage crypto (on-chain), pay friends instantly, earn rewards with the Bolt Debit Card, and manage your orders and payments—all in one place. It’s Bolt’s One-Click Checkout Magic, reimagined for Everything Money. Second, a Revolution in Payments. Starting today, ALL businesses, no matter their size, get a flat 2.1% + $0.30 processing rate. No fees on refunds. Just $5 per chargeback. And zero added fees—unless we drive clear conversion value. When a shopper logs into their Bolt account at checkout, we’ll apply a transparent 1.35% network fee. Why? Because these users convert over 50% higher and are 15% more likely to buy again. For all other checkouts, that network fee is 0%. Never before have rates like this been offered in the payments space. We also just launched Charge (bolt.com/charge), a complete solution for digital goods subscriptions and recurring charges. Bolt Charge, and many of our offerings including Checkout Everywhere, Check-in/SSO, Checkout OS, and more are now having all fees waived and will be offered completely and totally FREE. To read more in detail, and see a limited time promotion we’re running for businesses, see our Founder and CEO, Ryan Breslow's, post about these launches: https://lnkd.in/eC4fgjsk. This is the Future of Finance: radically simple, lightning-fast, and designed to work for everyone. With these two announcements, Bolt is one step closer to achieving our mission to Democratize Finance and Democratize Commerce, for consumers and businesses alike. Especially in times like these, every percentage point counts. And we are proud to help equalize the playing field for all businesses, no matter their size. Developers, SaaS Businesses, and Ecommerce businesses alike → Show your Stripes and integrate Bolt now at bolt.com/get-started. For years, platforms controlled the rules—and the margins. Game developers were boxed in by 30% cuts, rigid UI restrictions, and zero flexibility around pricing or messaging. But now? The Apple Tax is officially dead on the web. And that changes everything. At Bolt, we’ve been building like this day would come. A future where game studios—not platforms—own the full monetization stack. ✅ The lowest payment processing fees on the internet ✅ 80M one-click-ready shoppers built in ✅ Checkout that feels as seamless as native No platform gatekeeping. No surprise fees. Just more margin, more control, and more room to grow. Learn more → bolt.com/gaming ⚡

A few months ago at Bolt, we embarked on a mission to become more developer-forward. We aimed to reduce implementation time and enhance the developer experience. One significant challenge was that developers weren't familiar with our APIs, and we lacked an effective way to help them understand our services. After exploring several options that fell short of our requirements, we discovered Scalar. Its open-source nature, passionate community support, built-in code samples for all major languages, and integrated API testing made it stand out. Implementation was remarkably simple—I had it running in a sandbox within five minutes. Migrating to Scalar was an obvious choice, and the results have exceeded our expectations. Now you can access Scalar on all of our reference documentation at https://lnkd.in/dah2ducf

The dirty secret in payments? Startups are getting crushed by hidden fees—and it’s killing their margins. Especially AI and SaaS businesses. Let’s break it down: That “standard” 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction sounds small. But for startups, it’s brutal—especially with low AOVs or tight margins. But this is really only just the start. It only gets worse from there. As we all know, refunds are essential to providing good customer service. But most processors would incentivize you otherwise. The industry standard: no refunds on payment fees when you issue a return. So you lose the revenue AND pay the fees. And what about chargebacks? There, you’re hit with a$15 penalty, on top of losing the product and sale. And finally, let’s talk about the new wave of countless AI and SaaS companies who’ve just hit the market. They all run on subscriptions. Providers today have gotten away with an extra 0.5% just to process a recurring charge. That’s 0.5% just for pressing “repeat.” This adds up fast. Most early-stage businesses today are paying: ~3.6–4% per transaction No refunds on fees $15 per chargeback Meanwhile, the biggest players pay closer to 2.3%-2.4% all-in—and get refunds on fees, much lower chargeback fees, and much lower subscription fees The imbalance is the business model. Providers today show investors big GMV from enterprise customers, but earn their profits by overcharging startups who lack volume and leverage. Startups don’t have much of a choice… until today, Introducing our radical industry-first pricing program at Bolt, and our new streamlined subscriptions service, Bolt Charge We rolled out a simplified, startup-friendly pricing structure: ✅ 2.1% + $0.30 for processing ✅ 0% fee on subscriptions/software ✅ Fees returned on refunds ✅ $5 per chargeback No added fees unless we drive real value. When we do—like when a shopper logs in via the Bolt Network and sees 50% higher conversion and 15% more repeat purchases—then, and only then, we charge a network fee of 1.35%. But that only applies when we recognize the user. ❌ No fees for guest checkouts or newly created accounts on your store. ❌ No backroom deals. No volume thresholds. No tricks. No secret pricing tiers. No volume thresholds. No backroom deals. We’re here to level the playing field. Everyone—startup or enterprise—gets the same rate. Independent businesses are the backbone of our economy. Payments should empower you—not cannibalize your profits. It’s time to fix this. If this message resonates, we’re live today on Product Hunt! See below to read more and help us spread the word.
