Sam Nelson reposted thisSam Nelson reposted thisHallo 🇩🇪 We are thrilled to announce that Multiverse has acquired StackFuel, Germany’s leading data and AI upskilling provider. As we enter Europe's largest economy, our mission is clear: to help the workforce navigate the accelerating pace of the AI revolution by putting the right skills into the hands, heads, and habits of every worker. Together, we’ve set an ambitious, immediate goal to train 100,000 German workers in critical AI skills. Here’s what our founder, Euan Blair, had to say: “There is no more urgent mission than equipping the workforce to win in the AI era. Whether it’s capturing AI’s potential productivity enhancements, or mitigating the risks of job displacement, developed economies require AI skills at every level of the workforce.” Today we’re welcoming 53 new colleagues, and the StackFuel founders Leo Marose and Stefan Berntheisel into Multiverse. Huge congrats on what you’ve built so far. Let’s go!

Sam Nelson liked thisHonored to be featured alongside some incredible Chegg Inc. colleagues for International Day for Digital Learning. 🎓 In Product Management, we talk a lot about "reducing friction." For me, the ultimate friction is complexity. The skill that’s opened the most doors for me? Turning complex content into something consumable and empowering. Whether it's for learners, internal teams, or global partners, I’ve found that the best products aren't just functional—they are educational. They bridge the gap between "I don't know" and "I can do this." This "superpower" has been the thread through every role I’ve held, and it’s exactly what drives the work we do at Chegg Skills every day: building tools that make high-impact skills accessible to everyone. Fellow PMs and builders: What’s the one "soft skill" you’ve found to be a competitive advantage in your career? #ProductManagement #EdTech #DigitalLearning #CheggSkills #CareerGrowthSam Nelson liked thisThis International Day for Digital Learning, we’re looking at how learning is evolving, and what that means for real career outcomes.🌱 Through Chegg Skills, we’re helping people build in-demand capabilities and turn learning into tangible opportunities We asked members of Chegg: What skill helped create a new opportunity or sparked growth in your career? 👇 Hear from Jenna Kluger, Hannah Tetzlaff, Mudita Lionheart, Karandeep Singh and Daphne Isom, M.Ed. as they share their stories.

Sam Nelson liked thisSam Nelson liked thisSometimes you walk into the right place, at the exact right time. My daughter took this photo (still can't believe this isn't AI) and tried to whisper, “Dad, is that Lebron James?” He obviously heard her and without missing a beat hilariously said, “Woah, I’m not that old!” If luck is when preparation meets opportunity, this might have been one of the luckiest moments of my life. All 4 of my kids were there with nowhere to go and nothing to do but sit and listen. I had read one his books a few months earlier (Coach Wooden and Me), so a lot about his life was still fresh and he couldn’t have been more gracious. The Winter Olympics were playing on the TV, and he told my kids about standing up for what you believe in with his decision to boycott the 1968 Summer Olympics after the assassination of MLK. Pretty surreal to hear that story firsthand. Hard to think of someone who spans as many generations/arenas like Kareem. Athletics, business, politics, pop culture -true legend.

Sam Nelson liked thisSam Nelson liked thisFor the past while, you’ve known my consulting work as Bit of Genius. Today, I’m proud to share its evolution: Thunderwolf Consulting Why the change? So glad you asked. 😉 Because the work has sharpened. The mission has clarified. And the name needed to carry the weight of it. I thought it was appropriate to rename the practice after my Native American Name. It was bestowed to me by one of my tribal officials from the Catawba Nation. I believe the meaning behind this name represents what I offer to clients. 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 represents a strong voice. Clear. Confident. Impossible to ignore. In crowded AI markets, whispering doesn’t win. Precision and conviction do. 𝗪𝗼𝗹𝗳 represents leadership of the pack. Strategy, alignment, and forward motion. The best growth-stage companies do not need more noise. They need coordinated momentum. Thunderwolf Consulting exists to help AI leaders find and amplify their strongest market voice, then align their teams to move together. Here is what I do: I help growth-stage AI companies turn technical innovation into market clarity. That means: - Sharpening positioning so buyers immediately understand the value - Crafting messaging frameworks that unify marketing, sales, and product - Building go-to-market strategy that drives real revenue impact - Serving as a fractional marketing leader when scale demands it I work primarily with founders, CMOs, and GTM leaders at AI companies in the messy middle. Past product-market fit, pre-category dominance. Typically between $7MM and $30MM ARR. Big ambition. Real pressure. No time for vague strategy decks. The benefit is simple. Clarity accelerates growth. Alignment compounds it. When your story is tight, your team is focused, and your message lands, everything moves faster. Sales cycles shrink. Campaigns convert. Teams execute with confidence. If you are building something meaningful in AI and want your market presence to match the ambition of your product, let’s talk. The pack is forming. Sam Nelson liked thisSam Nelson liked thisI wrote this book because I got sick of seeing friends get taken advantage of during their home buying journeys. Seeing it hit #1 on Amazon was a reminder that people are really hungry for the truth about buying a home. The market signals are confusing, rates are scary, and so much of the advice out there is contradictory or sometimes just...wrong. I'm trying something new today: I’m hosting a free "Cliff's Notes" version of the book in a live session. No sales pitches. Just <1 hour of me walking through the strategies I used to help my own family and thousands of others avoid the top mistakes home buyers make. If you know a friend who is thinking about buying a house at any point in the future, feel free to tag them, too. I promise to take care of them even better than Mr. Rogers took care of his cardigans. Link in comments. p.s. Major congrats to Brisk Teaching on their release of "Curriculum Intelligence" and absolutely taking over my LinkedIn feed. Very provocative ideas. A few questions they have me wondering - 1️⃣ Is it going to be easier to embed AI intelligence into a curriculum company (my situation at Amplify FWIW) or curriculum intelligence into an AI company? Certainly, both are possible. We share lots of customers. But both models have different implications that'll be fun to work out in the coming years. 2️⃣ For example, what does it mean to "upload your curriculum." Is that a PDF of your curriculum? The scope & sequence? Supplementals? Notes? What about hybrid curricula? How do we upload a digital curriculum? What are the implications for copyright? (I will pointedly NOT tag our general counsel in this question because I am a sweetie.) [UPDATE - She found this post in her feed anyway. Sorry, folks.] 3️⃣ What does Curriculum Intelligence LOOK like? I kept waiting to see a pre & post in the launch or website. What does an AI-generated lesson or chatbot interaction look like WITH and WITHOUT Curriculum Intelligence? A lot of AI generated lesson materials are — and I am speaking charitably here — unusable. Major teacher revision & augmentation needed, especially in areas of images and design. What does Curriculum Intelligence do to the usability of AI-generated materials? 4️⃣ Seriously - how do you get everyone from Arman on down to the interns to post at the same time like that? Scheduled posts? All-hands meeting with everyone's finger over the publish button. Amazing message discipline. Best of luck out there, team. 👍

Last week we brought in Dr Philippa Hardman to the Bain London office to deliver a more advanced AI for L&D workshop. We brought together colleagues from multiple teams and disciplines. There was huge energy in the room and lots of curiosity. A few themes that stood out: > Prompt quality is everything: clarity, structure, role, constraints, examples. > AI works best when treated as a designed system: not a shortcut. > Speed ≠ quality: Thoughtfulness wins. My personal takeaway was the quick reality that I’ve been lazy in my prompting (and I study this stuff!). Even with powerful models and GPTs specific to your needs, you still need to be explicit about how you want it to behave, from role and tone to guardrails, what “good” looks like (and what doesn’t). You have to tell it exactly who to be and how to behave. 🙂 Huge thank you to Dr. Phil for an energising, practical, hands-on session. It was a sprint, equal parts rigorous and empowering. My team breakout team ended with a newly tuned-up GPT named Ziggy that has real potential to improve our storyboarding processes over time. AI literacy in L&D is becoming foundational. We’re beyond “adopt it.” The real opportunity now is to intentionally shape how we use it to drive better outcomes in our work. #Learning #Design #AI #Leadership #FutureOfWork

We’ve rebuilt search at Big Think+ using AI to better match how people actually learn. Learners can type questions like “How do I improve my listening skills?” and get immediate answers pulled from insights across our expert catalog. From there, search curates relevant lessons with clear guidance on how to apply what they learn. That means less time searching and more time learning. If you’re thinking about how AI can meaningfully improve learning at scale, we’d love to show you how this fits into a broader system for developing leaders. Learn more: https://hubs.li/Q042kYGs0

When students can produce flawless essays from vague prompts, what exactly are we assessing? In Part 2 of my series on reclaiming assessment in the age of AI, I explore the “three crises” that bundled AI creates: attribution, feedback, and purpose. When machine output and student work are fused, we lose sight not only of who did the work, but also of how to encourage growth and what learning itself is supposed to mean. As one MIT study found, students who used AI to generate their papers often couldn’t remember what they had “written.” Memory, identity, and practice all eroded beneath the polish. The problem is not cheating. The problem is honesty without learning. Read Part 2 here→ https://lnkd.in/erdqzr4W

High-touch simulations, like roleplays and branched scenarios, are the gold standard for adult learning. But for most training providers, they are too manual and resource-intensive to build and deliver at scale. This 'personalisation gap' often forces training providers to settle for one-size-fits-all content, leaving students underprepared for the workforce. At GenLearn, we believe educators shouldn't have to choose between quality and scale. Our platform empowers educators to rapidly turn their own course materials into interactive AI instructors, giving students the repeatable, real-world practice they need to build genuine competence and confidence. That’s why I’m so excited we've been selected to present at the Future Skills Organisation Skills Accelerator AI Sprint Reverse Pitch this Wednesday 4th March. A huge thank you to the Future Skills Organisation and Siobhan O'Sullivan GAICD for the opportunity to contribute to this vital conversation. 👇 Joining the session? I’d love to connect. Research shows execs love AI - but aren’t investing in the skills needed to unlock its value. A new study from Economist Impact reveals that only 4% of companies are currently achieving a return on their AI investments - and one of the biggest barriers isn’t technology, it’s people. Despite widespread claims of building AI talent: - Most organisations rely on informal upskilling (mentoring, self-directed courses), with only ~16% using structured internal training and ~21% partnering with external training providers. - Just 38% of firms have dedicated budgets for AI development, far fewer than you’d expect at this stage of adoption. - Less than 10% have a comprehensive governance framework in place to guide ethical, responsible and safe AI use. - Middle managers often aren’t empowered to drive skills development, and change resistance remains a significant barrier. The report’s message is clear: AI won’t realise its promise if it’s treated as a toolkit rather than a capability. Technology needs to be matched with intentional investment in human skills, culture and governance- not just optimism from the C-suite. If AI is going to shift from “cool technology we use” to a behaviour that drives tangible outcomes, organisations must invest in structured training, cross-functional fluency and culture change now. Higher education is changing – perhaps faster than expected! The combination of financial pressures, evolving student expectations, and the arrival of generative AI has created a powerful impetus for digital transformation.
